A New Year email we received this morning from Kirk and he gave us permission to share:
"Nearly everyone I know makes the resolution, this is the year I lose weight. Well, 2014 I had some moments of clarity that made me realize I needed to get my weight under control or I would end up with serious health issues down the line. The bottom line is I'm down 80 pounds this year*. I am wearing the same sized clothes that I wore my final year of college, and hope to lose 20 more in 2015 and be back at my high school weight.
This is honestly the best I have felt since I was in my 20's. I can finally run again, and I really enjoy working out 6 days a week. This is really exciting because there are so many things that I keep discovering that I can now do, but didn't realize were problems:
> My ladder to the attic didn't creak when I got the Christmas lights down
> I realized I mindlessly hopped up on three foot stoop, not tried to get my balance and carefully step up, I just jumped up on the thing
> I don't have to plan and loosen up my hamstrings to cut my toenails
> I went to my daughter's concert at the high school and realized - I didn't have to worry about my pants pocket getting caught on an arm rail. Heck there was actually room in the chair.
> I don't grunt when I get up.
> There is a noticeable absence of little pains in my knees and joints.
> I can use the tray on an airplane without moving my belly.
There is a host of more private revelations that I am not willing to share, but this has been a great journey. No more CPAP, no more blood pressure medicine, no more shopping in the big and tall section. I have more energy than I have in years and I am ready for 2015 with a vengeance. Hopefully this will give hope to others who have had the same struggle. I hope everyone has a great year."

Hay Mrs JoAnne,
I am Bridget. When I first started this journey I weighed 276, I was wearing 22-24 pants and 3XL in shirts. My health was getting bad very quickly. I was taking three high blood pressure bills, couldn't walk without being out of breath or needing to sit down.
Well it has been about six months since surgery and I have lost 80 pounds*. I wear 16 pants and large shirts. I have been taken off all my meds and I feel great. Have this surgery was the best decision I could have ever made. I am still working on losing 50 more but glad to be happy and active again. Thanks to the drs at BeLiteWeight!!

I know this is really long but I wanted people to know what the experience was like in detail.
I have been overweight since I was about 9 years old. I never wore bikini’s or low rise jeans. My lowest weight post puberty was 175lbs, 30lbs over what I should have been according to my BMI. After high school, when I stopped doing organized sports, I crept up to 190lbs. I lost the weight by increasing my activity level, but everything got worse very quickly. I never fixed my over-eating problem, so when I would get busy and stop working out the weight would just pile back on. Then I moved to Florida, where people drink sweet tea instead of water and all meat comes deep fried. I went from about 180lbs to 220lbs in 6months, and I could not loose it. In fact it got even worse. I eventually got to 241lbs and I bawled. I would try and eat healthy, but I couldn’t get my cravings or portions under control. I would make pasta at home, eat the entire box and still want dessert.
When I got engaged, I was freaking out. Instead of being excited about the wedding process, I would burst into tears when anyone brought up wedding dress shopping. I was out of control. I was losing my life to food. My mother also had a problem with her weight. Her heaviest was 310lbs and at the rate I was going, I was going to be there soon. She lost her weight with weight loss surgery and suggested I looked into it too. She recommended JoAnne at BeliteWeight, so I checked into it. She had the gastric bypass surgery, but I was more interested in the gastric sleeve. So after I did my homework and got the support from my mom, I booked a date.
My nerves were fine until I got there. I had never had surgery before and was so scared to be put under. The doctors were amazing. They didn’t sweep my anxious feelings under a rug, they spent time with me. They talked to be about my fears and getting to know them better helped my nerves. Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villarreal repeatedly came and checked on everyone before and after surgery. They kept reassuring me that everything would be okay and that I was in good hands. They were excellent listeners and always answered my questions completely. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Solis, heard that I was most anxious about being put under and also made a point to come to the pre-op area and comfort me before surgery (I had already met her prior in my room also.) She sat there and held my hand while I cried and left me feeling truly cared for. She also held my hand as she put me under for surgery after I had a good cry on the operating table.
When I woke up from surgery I had no pain. After my nap, they had me walk around and that eased some of the discomfort I was starting to feel. Walking around the hallway you also make friends. There were several people who also had surgery on or a around the same day as me. It was comforting hearing their stories. I was the youngest person there (I’m 23) and there was something comforting about people telling me they wish they had done it when they were my age. Hearing how their stories were just like me, it only confirmed that I made the right decision.
After surgery I had this overwhelming emotion about what I just did. Part of me was a little nervous, relieved and curious if I made the right decision. All it took was coming home and noticing all the changes in my eating habits to know I did. It was difficult being on liquids in terms of calorie intake. I was a nanny at the time so there would just be moments where I would just become flat out exhausted. Sucking on hard candies was my saving grace when I needed a little bit of energy. But it took me over a month to go through a box of lemon heads, before surgery they wouldn’t have lasted a day. I bought a pint of ice cream my third week post surgery that is still half full in my freezer. I still have the one box of popsicles I bought my first week post op, there’s a couple left but I’ve given away most of them. I just don’t have the same relationship to food anymore. Why would I eat 2 bites of bread when I could have a couple bites of fish and veggies? Why would I choose candy when I can be just as satisfied with fruit? The old me would never been able to understand my logic now.
I had my surgery May 23, 2014, today is September 19, 2014 . I’ve lost 51 pounds after surgery and 11 pounds on the pre-op diet for a total of 62 pounds lost so far.* To be at my goal weight I have to lose 37 more pounds. I can’t believe how much success I’ve had in the few months after surgery. It’s exciting to see what my end result will be, especially since I don’t know what I look like past 165 pounds (my lowest weight post-puberty). I am so glad that I didn’t wait and trusted my instincts. This surgery has given me a greater future and I can’t wait to have the body and life I thought I would never have. I knew I couldn’t do it alone but I refused to give up. I’ve started wedding dress shopping and taking full body pictures again. Soon I will have to buy a completely new wardrobe and can’t wait to go shopping. I’m proud of myself again, I’m happy and I’m no longer considered obese on the BMI scale, just over weight. I’ve gone from a size 16/18 to a size 12 in 4 months.* I can’t wait to see where I will end up.
I want to thank Dr. Rod, along with Dr. Solis & the staff at BeLiteWeight for taking such good care of me!

I'm down 75 pounds, I went from a size 16 to a size 10*. I'm a size medium which was my size when I started the 7th grade. I love my Sleeve. Thank you JoAnne, Dr. Rodriguez and BeLiteWeight!

I went from a size 56 to a 46*. My old jackets look like I am wearing a tent. I know my results are not typical, but it is spectacular. I am back at the gym. Before surgery I was lucky to do 15 sit ups. With no gut, I was able to do 50. Shame I can’t talk about how things have changed in the bedroom ;-)

Today at two months post-op I'm so thankful that I actually had the nerve to fly to San Diego alone, go to Mexico by myself, to ensure a better future for not only myself but for my son as well. In the past two months I have lost over 50lbs*, and found a much thinner more confident version of myself. I'm thankful for BeLiteWeight for taking such good care of me, and allowing me to become this new person.

Hi my name is Joe and I wanted to share my experience with everyone because I can't be more grateful for everything BeLiteWeight has done for me. They are a godsend and they truly saved my life.
I, like everyone else, googled weight loss surgery and came across BeLiteWeight. I was in desperate need of surgery because I was 330lbs and suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, acid reflux, sleep apnea and severe snoring. I was at my wits and and desperate. I've tried every diet, gym routine, etc and nothing had worked.
I contacted BeLiteWeight and got in touch with JoAnne. We discussed all the options and I chose Gastric Bypass. After all the paperwork etc, my date was set for July 18th. The time came and I arrived at El Paso airport and 10 min later I got a call from the taxi driver and he met me at the entrance and took me to the hospital. I checked in and after they did all the required tests and xrays I went into surgery. From the minute I woke up I was taken care of and the entire staff was excellent. I couldn't believe the care I received for the entire 3 day stay. I felt like I was at a resort not a hospital.
Fast forward 5 short months and not only have I lost 116lbs*, which shocked my family, my doctors and of course myself, but my blood pressure is normal, I am no longer diabetic, no acid reflux, no sleep apnea and no more snoring. I am off all of my medications now and I feel like I am 18 years old again.
So if you are in a similar situation I would highly reccomend you stop right here. This was literally one of the best experiences I have had and BeLiteWeight made it all possible.
Thanks again to the entire BeLiteWeight team!

We were shocked at how clean the hospital is--wow--it's much cleaner than any hospital I've been to in the US. The staff were also amazing; I've never received care like that anywhere, and the nursing staff actually cared. I honestly can't say I've had a good experience with the nursing staff of a hospital until now. My mom and I were talking about how great everything was at Star Medica, and we both agreed we would prefer to have any future procedures we may need there as opposed to any hospital in the States. I was truly impressed with everything about the hospital, staff, and physicians. I met and spoke with three different doctors in addition to Dr. Rodriguez, and they were all wonderful. I had an allergic reaction to the pain medication and they were very attentive and empathetic, and they also solved the problem quickly once we figured out what was wrong.
I would absolutely love to talk to prospective patients! I'd give a glowing recommendation, and I could also assuge any safety concerns they may have. We liked that there were security personnel throughout the hospital, and we never once felt threatened the whole time we were there. It's best to contact me by email. This address works, but since I'm graduating next year and I don't know if they let us keep our student accounts, my personal email is (on referral list).
I've lost almost 10 lbs. in just a couple days. Thanks again for checking in, and thank you so much for facilitating this process. I really can't wait to have my life back. Thank you so much!
Best regards,
Kendra H

Kevin sent this email to us. He's down 80 pounds since June* and he also gives us a detail on his surgery trip and experience:
First off, my entire experience was EXCELLENT! The folks at BeLiteWeight are awesome and they are all great at coordinating everything from the financing, the travel plans, the trip across the border, and bridging the gap between the patient and the hospital.
I took Amtrak to San Diego...a very friendly professional bilingual Mexican gentleman met me at the station to whisk me away to the hospital in TJ. I was driven in comfort in a new minivan...the border patrol waved us across the border (they recognize the driver whom makes several crossings every week). Within 20 minutes, we were at the beautiful, modern Hospital Angeles...the driver went with me to the admission desk, translated for me and accompanied me up to my hospital room. The room was beautiful, with a patient bed and an extra day bed for a guest. Cable tv (with several San Diego stations) and a nice private bathroom with a large standup shower.
JoAnne with BeLiteWeight and some of her staff visited me the next morning...prior to my surgery...and answered any questions I had. Shortly after that, my surgeon Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villareal and his medical partner met with me and reassured me that all would be fine. Both docs speak perfect English and they were both very professional and friendly.
I had the surgery on a Thursday afternoon, and was supposed to be up and walking a few hours later---that didn't happen. When I awoke from surgery I was in a good deal of pain, but they gave me some powerful meds and I comfortably slept until the following morning. That afternoon, I was slowly walking around the hospital and only feeling a little soreness. The surgeons came by to check on me again and made certain that I was doing well. The surgery went very well...zero problems or complications.
The next morning, Saturday, I was cleared to go home. Another professional driver picked me up at the hospital and took me back to the train station in San Diego. By Saturday afternoon, I was home and resting comfortably! I returned to work on Tuesday, just 6 days after my gastric sleeve! (I'm a tv weatherman, so my job is NOT physical. Some folks with physical or strenuous jobs may need 3 weeks to a month before returning to work)
I was also nervous about going to Mexico, after all, TJ can be a very dangerous place! The hospital, however, is in the upscale Rio Zono area...the best part of TJ. If you stay in that area around the hospital property...you will be safe.
Don't worry about not speaking Spanish, I don't either. The dayshift nurses speak broken English fairly well, and the doctors speak English very well. The nightshift staff speak less English, but you'll find it's still easy enough to communicate with them. I suggest you bring another person with you to help you walk around, get you ice chips, help you to the bathroom, etc.
Although there was no follow up needed with my surgeon after I returned home, the BeLiteWeight folks are always available to deal with any complications (don't think there will be any) and you can follow up with your own doc later. That's what I did.
If I had to do this again, would I? ABSOLUTELY! I'm down 80 pounds and 3 suit sizes since mid June and I'm loving life!
Good luck to you all...hope this helps...
-Kevin

Hi Joanne,
This whole process has been tremendously easy and exciting. Let me start by saying how appreciative I am for your company's mission to offer safe affordable bariatric surgeries. My sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Juarez by Dr. Rodriguez on March 25th, 2014 was the beginning of a new chapter in my life!
The hospital and staff were awesome and the recovery was amazingly easy. I have strived to follow the doctor's instructions of drinking 64 ozs of water, taking my vitamins, and eating predominantly lean protein sources daily. I have lost 119 lbs in just under 8 months* and have 50 more to go to reach my goal. Since the surgery I no longer take blood pressure medication and my feet and knees no longer hurt which has enabled me to be so much more active with my family!
This has been a spectacular gift for my upcoming 50th birthday! I wish you would share my experiences and thaks with the hospital and BeLiteWeight staff to let them know how grateful I am for the work that they are doing.
Please feel free to use me as a reference for your company. I would be honored to be able to help someone else begin their journey to being healthier!
Sincerely,
Carla T

Many people have given me a hard time and said I wasn't big enough to have this surgery. I have struggled with my weight since I was 9 years old. And although I was never morbidly obese I have always been obese and unhappy. I let everyone come first and I finally found the time and money to take care of me. My kids are grown and starting to have kids of their own. I'm not the retired grandma, or the rich grandma, but now I can be the FUN grandma. This journey has given me the chance to fell better and younger than I did 30 years ago. My husband of 34 years and I are closer than ever. He has been great support. I feel great and have no regrets.
I started at 199 pounds the day of my surgery in June, 2014 and I'm now 155 pounds.*
I have a attached a few selfies of me along my journey. I would be honored for you to post them. Maybe it will help someone in a similar situation.
I would like to add how great you guys have been. My facilitator has been there every step of the way and still answers any questions I have. She made me feel very comfortable from the very beginning. BeLiteWeight provides a great service and I am so happy I found you.

I'd recommend Dr. Rodriguez to everyone... He has great bedside manners.. Dr. Elmo as well!!

I was type 2 Diabetic and I was taking 5 shots and 2 pills a day to control it. I was on blood pressure meds and had diabetic neuropathy that I was taking three different meds for. I hurt every day I couldn't walk because my feet hurt so bad.
I was sleeved March 25,2014. I’m petite in height at 5’2” and my start weight was 288. I am now 218 and I’m still losing.* I am not diabetic anymore and I haven't taken any diabetic meds since 3 days after surgery.* I went on vacation a month ago and I walked 11000 steps and out-walked the whole family. I cannot say thank you enough for what this tool has done for my life.
The one photo was last summer and the other is three days ago. Was I a size 28 before surgery and my mom took me shopping for my birthday a few days ago… she bought me a new outfit in size 16 and I cried when I was able to put it on.*
I made the best decision I have ever in choosing BeLiteWeight and these wonderful Drs. Thank you Thank you

Hi,
I have attached two pictures of my face. One is from the video that Jamie took at the hospital after surgery (video added here). The other is a selfy I took of me on the beach in Florida a few weeks ago. I've lost 54 lbs so far.* Best thing I ever did.
I watch that video I did on the second day after surgery and I can't believe how much different I look now. My face was so bloated in that video. I have a neck now :-)

Then the other two pictures are of me in the last month. I am down to 165.2 for a total weight loss of 68.6lbs since March 20th, 2014.* I have lost a total of 45 inches* and I feel amazing.

JoAnne,
I just wanted to check in a say hi. I had my surgery back on March 20th, 2014. I've lost 65.8 lbs as of this morning, and I feel great. I ran my first 5k two weekends ago, and my husband and I just signed up for a 10k next month. I never in a million years thought that I would become a runner, it is such an amazing feeling to find myself doing things I never thought possible.
I have to thank you and Jamie both, you both were extremely helpful to my dad and I during our 3 day stay. From you picking us up at the airport and telling me more about what to expect from surgery and after, to Jamie helping my dad with directions. You guys are the best, and I just wanted to say thanks again. Please forward this to Jamie!
I will take a pic as soon as I can, but first I have to go buy a smaller size (M). LOL, I could just pinch myself because I'm so excited. I will email you once I have it. Have a wonderful week, and keep up the great work helping so many people.
Sincerely,
Nickie S

Growing up, I really didn't have a weight problem. I was very active and my family ate healthy. Then I got married and started a family of my own. Getting pregnant triggered a lot of medical problems and the problems just grew. I gained weight, and it wasn't so much the weight as it was the many medications that I had to be on. I tried EVERYTHING and I mean everything to lose the weight and nothing helped. Finally, my doctor said that surgery was my only option. I was devastated...I mean, it made me feel like a failure.
Well, I did it and I DON'T for one minute regret it!! I was on 14 medications and am now down to 2.* I lost 62 lbs*., which is just a bonus....I have more energy than I know what to do with, and I plan on being around for a long time!!! I could not have done it without my doctor, or BeLiteWeight. I felt like a person with them. They never made me feel like a "fat slob" or "less of a person" because I wasn't "model thin". You can say that it doesn't matter to you what people think about you, but it does. It hurts to hear "oh, she would be really pretty if she wasn't so big" or "if you could just lose a little weight"......IT HURTS.......I didn't have this surgery to look like a "barbie doll"....I'm 53 years old!!
I NEVER, in my wildest dreams, thought that I would be this small again. I thank God for my doctor, BeLiteWeight, and my family---especially my husband, for giving me the encouragement to do this. I couldn't have done it without them.

Hey Ishi,
Post surgery.... I’m back to work today…feeling fine and recovering nicely.
I just want to thank you for all your assistance in helping me get this done. You did a fine job!
The service I received at Hospital Angeles in Tijuana was excellent! The facilities were spotlessly clean and sterile…and the doctors, nurses, and surgeons were all caring, helpful, informative, and professional in every way! I was impressed. I have to say the level of service and care I received there surpassed every other U.S. hopital experience.
Our fiendly driver, Victor, did a superb job of getting us across the border….securely checked into the hospital…and safely returned to the U.S.
It was nice meeting JoAnne, and the lady accompanying Joanne (sorry I can’t recall her name)…all were very helpful and encouraging through the whole process.
Thanks again….I will gladly refer BeLiteWeight as THE PLACE TO GO when it comes to weight loss surgery!
Thanks so much,
Kevin R

My decision to have weight loss surgery was not an easy one. One I was very scared of having surgery and two, I’m a family of 5 and money was definitely a factor. But when I realized the amount of money I have spent on diet foods, failed gym memberships, and consistently buying clothes as I was outgrowing mine, I knew that I needed to do something! I did a lot of research online and found JoAnne at BeLIteWeight. I must have called 100 times and asked so many questions. Everyone there was so helpful and respectful as they have all been thru the procedure and understood my anxiety.
From the first call in December, my mind was made up and after speaking about financing I was on my way to setting up the surgery. The financial aspect and approval process was very easy! I made electronic payments every 2 weeks until I completed my down payment, and have my monthly payment come directly out of my bank account. Very reasonable pricing.
The trip was easy to arrange as I was given all the information on the times to schedule the flights etc. My mom and I made the trip together and came a day early to head to the San Diego Zoo. It was beautiful! The next day our driving picked us up at the hotel and we traveled 20 minutes across the border to the most beautiful hospital I have ever been too. It was clean and quiet and everyone was very professional. We started with some x-rays and blood work and were taken to our own private room that looked like a hotel. JoAnne and a couple others gals came to visit several times to check on us and we also spent a lot of time talking with the other ladies that were there having the same procedure.
The procedure was very short and virtually painless. The only pain I had was shoulder pain, which is very common. When I went home I had a long flight back to Seattle and even switched planes. I felt no discomfort and was even energized! Once home I had two days at home to relax, still no pain whatsoever, and then back to work! I work 5 days a week and never once did I feel like I was in any pain, was able to walk around with ease, sit, stand etc. 2 weeks later I was at the gym walking on the treadmill, 4 weeks after that I was on the elliptical and taking water aerobics!* The weight came off like crazy!
Best decision of my life!!!! 7 months later I am down 97 pounds* (September) and still on my way. I highly suggest this super reputable company and doctors!!

My name is Angela B, I am 43 years old and like everyone else starting out on this journey I struggled with losing weight. I had wanted to have some type of bariatric surgery for a few years prior to going to Mexico but the insurance I had through work at the time did not cover it since I had no co-morbities. Then I switched jobs and my new job offered BCBS and they no longer cover bariatric surgery at all. After that, I had been unemployed so my husband and I tried to purchase insurance on the internet and I was declined by three insurance companies due to me being overweight.
My husband told me about a lady he used to work with who had gastric sleeve surgery. I had never heard of it so I contacted her and she told me her story; I decided that this was the surgery for me as it is less invasive than gastric bypass surgery. After talking to her I researched the internet and youtube about more people who had this surgery. One day the BeLiteWeight website showed up and I thought this was a nice coincidence! I emailed them, got a call right away, and my surgery was scheduled for two weeks later, May 14, 2013 in Juarez, MX. I did go to the youtube website and watched all of the videos for BeLiteWeight and I Googled the hospital. The stories are true to their word.
My starting weight was 265 and today I maintain between 160-165 lbs.* I now make exercise and eating right part of my life and I feel wonderful. I do still get to eat the bad stuff but only in moderation on occasion. There is nothing that I can’t eat due to the surgery with the exception of plain water which makes me feel a little sick so I drink diluted Crystal Light. I have elected to be contacted by others using BeLightWeight and have questions to contact me and it makes me happy to share my story with them. I have stayed in contact with several of them and we watch each other on Facebook. I have done so well that my husband, who was dead set against having surgery for himself, has recently changed his mind and had surgery. He went through BeLightWeight as well and we were able to use the same doctor which was great because I got to see my doctor again and give him a great big hug and thank him for changing my life! How many people get to do that?
Warm Regards,
Angela B

Hi JoAnne,
I wanted to send you all kudos for getting me set-up and for guiding me with such kindness along my journey. I had so many fears and questions. Each fear and question was resolved in a matter of moments by you. I love the way that you even took time to call me when you felt like a verbal response would be best.
A lot of people don’t understand how much goes into the decision making, how much research and examination has to done before making a decision as to have a surgery this big and then deciding to go out on even a bigger limb and take yourself to a foreign country like Mexico. So again your reassurance and continued support made it easier for me to decide to believe in BeLiteWeight as a company and one that I could put my trust in as far as my body and life were concerned.
So I thank you all again for bending over backwards and as a result of this I am truly the happiest person in the whole wide world!!! I am off all of my medications and feeling like a new person. I have no more pain in my feet and back, I am ready to take the world on with one hand.
Humbled and grateful,
Robin A and my Hubby Edmundo
Hello Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Aramburo and Team,
I am writing to let you know of my experience with your wonderful team. First of all I just have to say that the best part of my experience was actually from all the Doctors and Nurses at Star Medica and my actual surgery. (Sometimes I just don’t believe I had major surgery I felt so good.)
Day one when I arrived at Star Medica, I was treated like a princess; I was told every step of way what was going to happen, I enjoyed being told in great detail what you all were going to do to me and why. The Lady Doctor who took my medical history and recorded everything is very special Lady. I feel as though even though it was for a very short period that she was there to take care of my every need and that she really, really cared about me and my wellbeing. It takes a very special person to be able to do that in the medical world and for them to keep their medical professionalism at the same time. (I am so sorry I can’t remember names, but I can remember that I was treated exceptionally well by all.)
The second day when Dr. Rodriguez came in and said are you ready, I felt so comforted!!! He was so smooth with his delivery of my medical services I almost forgot that I was going to have this major life altering surgery. I never once felt that I had to question my decision. I felt like I was in good hands.
I meet so many Doctors who came in just reassured me that what I was doing at the moment was part of the procedure and if I had any questions what so ever to just ask them, they told me that the wanted me to be as comfortable as possible and that was what they were there for.
So on to the surgery, I was wheeled down and given the magic potion and I really relaxed even more. I told the folks in the preparation room to please have Doctor Rodriguez say a prayer for me and she promised me that she would and off to sleep I went. When I woke I was like what I am done, cause when I squiggled a bit around in the bed a bit there was no pain, none what so ever!!! I was like this Doctor Rodriguez is a miracle worker; I don’t even feel like I had surgery!!! So the next day I was off and walking around the halls, my gas pains may have been all of a 2 on a scale of 1-10, ten being the worse.
Then on the last day the Doctor (I can’t remember his name) took time to explain to me how to eat, when and how to take my medicines, by gosh I felt so well looked after, it was better treatment that what we get in the States in most cases.
Then to Dr. Elmo Aramburo (I think that was his name) he took out my drain and man did we have fun!!!! I was laughing so hard and he was teasing me and the whole time the drain was already out. He could have been a brother to me he was so nice!!!! (I think it was Doctor Elmo)
My experience has to be rated as A+ all the way around and I would tell anyone who asked me about you all.
With all my love and good health and wishing the whole surgery team and staff all the best,
Robin A and my hubby Edmundo as well!

I want to add that I've lost 40 lbs since my surgery 3 weeks ago*, am now under 300 lbs, and am happier than I have been in years. This surgery & decision to change hasn't just been a good physical health choice but an excellent mental health choice! I am facing the winter with hope and optimism, not fear and depression.
Thanks again, Monica

I know this is really long but I wanted people to know what the exprience was like in detail.
Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villarreal & his team repeatedly came and checked on everyone before and after surgery.

Wayne is just about 3 weeks post op and wanted us to share his 37.2 pound weight loss* after his Gastric Sleeve surgery
Good morning!
Please post my pictures and I would be happy to send my monthly updates over to you!
So far so great! I learned my lesson on a meal by taking way too big a bite – I won’t do that again. It’s not easy adjusting to not having liquids before/after meals. But, Angi says I will get used to it.
Cheers to a great day JoAnne!

My weight has been a constant struggle over the past 10 years. It was a day to day battle. I tried every product, diet plan, and exercise program available and nothing ever seemed to work for me. I would lose 5 to 10 lbs and then I would gain it right back, plus some. I was constantly frustrated and depressed about my appearance and the way it made me feel inside. I lacked confidence and allowed myself to pull away from my family, friends, and activities I enjoyed.
BeLiteWeight not only altered my appearance, but it completely changed my life. I actually enjoy looking in the mirror now, and sometimes can barely recognize the person starring back at me. I am beaming with confidence and energy. I feel like a teenager again and I owe it all to Dr. Elmo Rodriguez and his team at BeLiteWeight. The staff and facilities are amazing and a true reflection of care and sincere hospitality. My experience was wonderful and I am beyond satisfied with my results.
It has been almost 5 months since my surgery. I started out at 195 lbs and am almost down 50 lbs.* I see a daily change in my appearance, but more importantly, I see a daily improvement in my attitude. BeLiteWeight has given me back the desire and ability to lead a healthy lifestyle and the confidence to succeed at it.
Sincerely,
Brandy W

August 1, 2014 was my 1 year anniversary having the gastric sleeve surgery. I lost 65lbs in the first 3 months.* I started out at 260lbs and am currently at 130lbs.* I have lost half of my body weight! The only thing I did not like about the surgery was being so thirsty afterwards. Besides that, I am so happy with my surgery, surgeon and results!
I have told everyone I know about the surgery and know a few people who decided to have the procedure done as well. It has changed my life for the better. I watch everything I put into my body and no longer rely on food for comfort. It has helped my husband as well, I make him eat properly and exercise with me and we are both in the best shapes of our lives at age 40. I am now comfortable in my own body and confident in who I am on the inside and out. Thank you!
