I want to add that I've lost 40 lbs since my surgery 3 weeks ago*, am now under 300 lbs, and am happier than I have been in years. This surgery & decision to change hasn't just been a good physical health choice but an excellent mental health choice! I am facing the winter with hope and optimism, not fear and depression.
Thanks again, Monica

I know this is really long but I wanted people to know what the exprience was like in detail.
I have been overweight since I was about 9 years old. I never wore bikini’s or low rise jeans. My lowest weight post puberty was 175lbs, 30lbs over what I should have been according to my BMI. After high school, when I stopped doing organized sports, I crept up to 190lbs. I lost the weight by increasing my activity level, but everything got worse very quickly. I never fixed my over-eating problem, so when I would get busy and stop working out the weight would just pile back on. Then I moved to Florida, where people drink sweet tea instead of water and all meat comes deep fried. I went from about 180lbs to 220lbs in 6months, and I could not loose it. In fact it got even worse. I eventually got to 241lbs and I bawled. I would try and eat healthy, but I couldn’t get my cravings or portions under control. I would make pasta at home, eat the entire box and still want dessert.
When I got engaged, I was freaking out. Instead of being excited about the wedding process, I would burst into tears when anyone brought up wedding dress shopping. I was out of control. I was losing my life to food. My mother also had a problem with her weight. Her heaviest was 310lbs and at the rate I was going, I was going to be there soon. She lost her weight with weight loss surgery and suggested I looked into it too. She recommended JoAnne at BeliteWeight, so I checked into it. She had the gastric bypass surgery, but I was more interested in the gastric sleeve. So after I did my homework and got the support from my mom, I booked a date.
My nerves were fine until I got there. I had never had surgery before and was so scared to be put under. The doctors were amazing. They didn’t sweep my anxious feelings under a rug, they spent time with me. They talked to be about my fears and getting to know them better helped my nerves. Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villarreal & his team repeatedly came and checked on everyone before and after surgery. They kept reassuring me that everything would be okay and that I was in good hands. They were excellent listeners and always answered my questions completely. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Solis, heard that I was most anxious about being put under and also made a point to come to the pre-op area and comfort me before surgery (I had already met her prior in my room also.) She sat there and held my hand while I cried and left me feeling truly cared for. She also held my hand as she put me under for surgery after I had a good cry on the operating table.
When I woke up from surgery I had no pain. After my nap, they had me walk around and that eased some of the discomfort I was starting to feel. Walking around the hallway you also make friends. There were several people who also had surgery on or a around the same day as me. It was comforting hearing their stories. I was the youngest person there (I’m 23) and there was something comforting about people telling me they wish they had done it when they were my age. Hearing how their stories were just like me, it only confirmed that I made the right decision.
After surgery I had this overwhelming emotion about what I just did. Part of me was a little nervous, relieved and curious if I made the right decision. All it took was coming home and noticing all the changes in my eating habits to know I did. It was difficult being on liquids in terms of calorie intake. I was a nanny at the time so there would just be moments where I would just become flat out exhausted. Sucking on hard candies was my saving grace when I needed a little bit of energy. But it took me over a month to go through a box of lemon heads, before surgery they wouldn’t have lasted a day. I bought a pint of ice cream my third week post surgery that is still half full in my freezer. I still have the one box of popsicles I bought my first week post op, there’s a couple left but I’ve given away most of them. I just don’t have the same relationship to food anymore. Why would I eat 2 bites of bread when I could have a couple bites of fish and veggies? Why would I choose candy when I can be just as satisfied with fruit? The old me would never been able to understand my logic now.
I had my surgery May 23, 2014, today is September 19, 2014 . I’ve lost 51 pounds after surgery and 11 pounds on the pre-op diet for a total of 62 pounds lost so far.* To be at my goal weight I have to lose 37 more pounds. I can’t believe how much success I’ve had in the few months after surgery. It’s exciting to see what my end result will be, especially since I don’t know what I look like past 165 pounds (my lowest weight post-puberty). I am so glad that I didn’t wait and trusted my instincts. This surgery has given me a greater future and I can’t wait to have the body and life I thought I would never have. I knew I couldn’t do it alone but I refused to give up. I’ve started wedding dress shopping and taking full body pictures again. Soon I will have to buy a completely new wardrobe and can’t wait to go shopping. I’m proud of myself again, I’m happy and I’m no longer considered obese on the BMI scale, just over weight. I’ve gone from a size 16/18 to a size 12 in 4 months.* I can’t wait to see where I will end up.

Wayne is just about 3 weeks post op and wanted us to share his 37.2 pound weight loss* after his Gastric Sleeve surgery
Good morning!
Please post my pictures and I would be happy to send my monthly updates over to you!
So far so great! I learned my lesson on a meal by taking way too big a bite – I won’t do that again. It’s not easy adjusting to not having liquids before/after meals. But, Angi says I will get used to it.
Cheers to a great day JoAnne!

My weight has been a constant struggle over the past 10 years. It was a day to day battle. I tried every product, diet plan, and exercise program available and nothing ever seemed to work for me. I would lose 5 to 10 lbs and then I would gain it right back, plus some. I was constantly frustrated and depressed about my appearance and the way it made me feel inside. I lacked confidence and allowed myself to pull away from my family, friends, and activities I enjoyed.
BeLiteWeight not only altered my appearance, but it completely changed my life. I actually enjoy looking in the mirror now, and sometimes can barely recognize the person starring back at me. I am beaming with confidence and energy. I feel like a teenager again and I owe it all to Dr. Elmo Rodriguez and his team at BeLiteWeight. The staff and facilities are amazing and a true reflection of care and sincere hospitality. My experience was wonderful and I am beyond satisfied with my results.
It has been almost 5 months since my surgery. I started out at 195 lbs and am almost down 50 lbs.* I see a daily change in my appearance, but more importantly, I see a daily improvement in my attitude. BeLiteWeight has given me back the desire and ability to lead a healthy lifestyle and the confidence to succeed at it.
Sincerely,
Brandy W

August 1, 2014 was my 1 year anniversary having the gastric sleeve surgery. I lost 65lbs in the first 3 months.* I started out at 260lbs and am currently at 130lbs.* I have lost half of my body weight! The only thing I did not like about the surgery was being so thirsty afterwards. Besides that, I am so happy with my surgery, surgeon and results!
I have told everyone I know about the surgery and know a few people who decided to have the procedure done as well. It has changed my life for the better. I watch everything I put into my body and no longer rely on food for comfort. It has helped my husband as well, I make him eat properly and exercise with me and we are both in the best shapes of our lives at age 40. I am now comfortable in my own body and confident in who I am on the inside and out. Thank you!

My weight has been my biggest struggle since I had my first child in 1996. It felt like I could never get a handle on it. I have tried every kind of diet plan that was on the market. I have had personal trainers, gym membership, and designed workout plans that would help for a little while. I just could never keep the weigh off permanently. It would always come back after a while with a few extra pounds. I was constantly frustrated and depressed about my appearance and the way it made me feel inside. Shopping was my worst nightmare. I had lost all my confidence and did not want to be around family and friends due to the way I looked. I hated doing activities because I was out of breath all the time.
BeLiteWeight has changed my life in more ways than i could ever realized. I love trying on clothes and looking in the mirror thinking wow this is really me. I love the new me. I finally have confidence and it feels great. I feel like I can things that in the past with my weight I was unable to do. Dr. Elmo Rodriguez and his team at BeLiteWeight has help make these things possible. I loved the staff and the facilities are amazing. When I first walked in and saw the room I would be in, I was in shock. It was like a spa. It was above my expectations. The staff and doctors went over and above to take care of me and make sure all my needs were met.
My experience was amazing and I am VERY satisfied with my results. It has been almost 5 months since my surgery. I started out at 195 lbs and am almost down 50 lbs.* I enjoy waking up every morning and picking out my clothes, where this use to be the most dreadful thing for me. I love my confidence level and that I have a totally new attitude about the new me. BeLiteWeight has changed my life. I now live a healthy life that I am proud of. Things that I have lost I have found again. The only regret I have is not have the sleeve done years ago. Thank you BeLiteWeight, Dr. Rodriguez and staff for the person I am today.
The before and after photos are of my friend Brandy and myself. We had surgery on the same day (I have blond hair).

I am Wendy G from Louisiana and I had surgery through BeLiteWeight on Aug. 1, 2013. I am here to shout to the world the success of my surgery. I cannot thank BeLiteWeight enough for giving me my life back. I have a lot of medical issues, and I fought for 13 years trying to lose weight, only to fail and actually gain....my medications were "killing" me and at 52 years old, I was now on borrowed time. My doctor hooked me up with BeLiteWeight and saved my life!!
I had a follow-up with my doctor in Dec. 2013, and my blood test/check up results were amazing!!* She could not believe the difference from my test taken in June 2013 to the ones in Dec. I went from taking 14 medications, to taking just 2!!!* And from Aug. to Dec., I had already lost 30 lbs!!*
I have since lost more weight and am now currently stable at a size 4-6 pants/shorts; sm-med tshirt/dress shirt; 6-8 dress, and even went down 1/2 size in my shoes!!!* Really?!!!---the last time I was in a 6, I think I was 6!!! I've lost a total of 60 lbs* and I feel FABULOUS.....more energy than I know what to do with!!!
My self-esteem has soared beyond the heavens and I no longer shy away from form-fitting clothes---the misconception that I had was to wear baggy shirts to hide the fat, but they only made me look bigger----Ladies, STOP doing that...... It is all still surreal to me. I find myself crying sometimes because I still can't believe that the person I see in the mirror is me.
So much has taken place since my surgery and so many people are happy for me. A few have asked if I was sick because I didn't broadcast the fact that I was having surgery....I didn't do it to look like a "barbie doll". I did it for my health. There are some out there that will always have something negative to say, and to them, I say---whatever.......
I had wonderful doctors, a great nursing staff, a very clean hospital, and a fabulous patient advocate. My only regret is that my Mother is not here to see it. She passed away in Dec. 2011, but I know she would be proud and happy for me. I am healthy, and that is what counts. I will forever be grateful to BeLiteWeight.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU

Hello Joyce,
I want to thank you all so much for the wonderful experience I had traveling to Juarez, Mexico for the gastric sleeve surgery. I was really nervous at first so my husband accompanied me for this trip. when we landed the driver was waiting for us. The driver was very friendly and courteous. I had gotten motion sickness from the plane and car ride, luckily he had a bag for me at that moment.
When we arrived at the hospital the driver made sure he took me to the restroom to wash up. From this point we were directed to the receptionist who were very friendly. it was easy for us to communicate because I speak spanish. From this point on I felt like I was checking in to 4 star hotel, I almost forgot I was there for surgery.
After I checked in I was brought straight for testing and meeting the doctors. The doctors were so supportive and attentive to my every need. After surgery I had no internal pain, the only minimal pain I experienced were at the site of incision.
I am very pleased looking in the mirror again watching the pounds melt away as I slip into smaller size clothes. I have lost 39 pounds in 3 months* and still loosing, I'm loving what I see in the mirror. I have to give all thanks to BELITEWEIGHT!!! Thank you all and god bless you all!!!!!

Today is my 8th month sleeve anniversary and I've lost 65 pounds!*
After researching and debating the sleeve for over two years, I finally decided to go with Dr. Rod - and my only regret is that
I didn't do it sooner. People say I look 10 years younger - and I feel like it too!
I want to tell everyone don't risk your health with some bargain basement doctor. If things were to go wrong with a bargain-basement doctor, it could cost you tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars - and your life.
Dr. Rod and his staff have excellent credentials and years of experience and stand by their work! Choosing Dr. Rod was the best medical decision I ever made." - Daniel

JoAnne,
What a difference a year makes. Our WLS experience has been nothing less than life changing. Michelle tells people the surgeon operated on my stomach, but the effect is in my mind. I feel like I have a second chance. I feel like the person I thought I could be. It’s interesting that our size/weight/appearance has such a dramatic impact on our self-worth, but it doesn’t.
I sincerely thank you, Dr. Rodriguez, and all the staff and care-givers; it has truly been a life changing experience.
Weight Loss (so far): 114.6 pounds*
Inches Lost (neck, chest, waist, etc): 60.75"*
What have I gained?
Health, Vitality, Confidence, My Life!
I want to tell everyone, if you struggle with your weight and you're ready to change your life, then do it. It's not another diet and it's not an instant cure. It IS the most powerful tool available to equip you to conquer obesity for once and for all.
JoAnne at BeLIteWeight.com is the one who facilitated my Vertical Sleeve procedure. I am forever grateful to her and her staff for making this possible.
I am healthy, happy and look forward to each and every day. If I have a regret, it would be waiting so long.
Thank you,
Linn

I was first introduced to BeLiteWeight by my best friend in 2011. As I watched her go through a transformation, it was something that I knew I wanted to experience also. It was a slow process for me getting up the nerve to even call.
The first contact I had with BeLiteWeight was in November 2012; I inquired about pricing and got a feel for what could happen in my life if I had the surgery. As the months went by the pounds got heavier. I got an email in February asking me if I was still interested. I just got laid off and thought well I can’t afford it. Excuse after excuse. When I finally made the decision to call back again in May, The time had come for the change, I was ready for. June the 25th was the date!
I flew to El Paso, and there waiting was the driver that BeLiteWeight had set up for me and my mom to be taken across to Juarez. I had lived in El Paso many years ago and had been to Juarez, it was great being back there. We went across and had about a 20 minute ride, great site seeing. I was so excited I knew my life was going to change.
When we arrived at the Hospital there was one of the Dr’s waiting to get me checked in and my test ran. Everything was moving so fast my heart was racing. This was about 11am by 3 pm I was headed back to the surgery prep area. I was back from recovery by 6 pm and walking the halls by 9 pm. 2 days later I walked to the mall and went and had a pedicure. I arrived on a Tuesday and left out on a Friday.
My experience at the hospital in Juarez was fabulous, I felt like a princess in the hospital. The nurses were very caring and always asking if I needed anything. The Dr’s were great; their bed side manner was one of a kind.
This is one of the best decisions I have made. It has been 8 months (June 2013) and I have lost a total of 103 lbs*. (So if you really want to know I weighed in at 299 before the surgery). That is from my weigh in before the pre-op diet till now. I am still losing weight slowly, I did join the gym 6 weeks after the surgery and I have had a trainer to help me through the transition. I have not set a number goal I just had to set free from all the weight I was carrying around. Now when I see someone who is carrying that same weight I am, I tell them about BeLiteWeight, it has changed my life and could change theirs.
Thanks Amanda

Hi Joyce,
I just returned home from my surgery in Juarez Mexico with Dr. Rodriguez and I must tell you how incredibly impressed both my husband and I were with all the of the Doctors and staff at the Star Medica Hospital.
I am so glad that I decided to go there and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is wanting to have the surgery done and is trying to make it affordable, and the cleanliness is better then I could have ever imagined. Upon walking the halls my husband wore just his socks and later on went to take them off and looked at me and said look at this!? His socks were as white when he took them off and when he put them on! Now That is Clean!!
Thank you again and thanks to the Doctors and staff at the hospital. If you need to use me for anyone who may, as I did, have reservations about going there, please feel free to do so. I would be more then happy to share what a Great experience it was.

Here is my weight loss story! I am not sure how I should begin this, but I will give it a try!
I had never had a problem with weight until about 5 years ago! I had 3 miscarriages, lost a son (ZJ) and then another 2 miscarriages after that. That is when I finally decided to tie my tubes and that is when I think it all when down hill. I was very upset that I couldn't have another baby and I just got really depressed. Adding to the depression, I started working at home baby sitting. I kept 3 little babies and so we did lots of snacking and napping and my weight just kept going up and up. I am 10 months out of surgery (March 11, 2013) and I currently weigh 130lbs*. Right before surgery I weighed 230lbs but I had already lost 20lbs before surgery!*
I tried a few diets and going to the gym, but it was not coming off fast enough and I would get discouraged and just give up. I was to the point where I hated life and just knew I was going to be FAT the rest of my life. Then I started having sleep apnea (never officially diagnosed, just self diagnosed) and it would scare me. I would wake up 5-10 in the middle of the night gasping for air and choking, my back hurt all the time because I had a bust size of a 38 DD (I had always been a 36 B), tired all the time from not sleeping and I absolutely hated taking pictures. I wouldn't go anywhere I just wanted to stay home. Then I would start seeing my pictures and just get disgusted by the way I looked.
January 2013, my best friend and I decided to have the surgery, but I wasn't sure how I was going to do it because I didn't have any health insurance and I knew there was no way I could afford the surgery. So she did a lot of research and found BeLiteWeight. I left it up to her to do all the research because I have no patience for that kind of stuff. So she did the research, reached out to other patients who had already had the surgery and she said it was a legit thing so we said "What the Heck, let's do it!" She and I both booked our surgeries for March 11, 2013, now it was crunch time to get our passports. We did all the paperwork, sent it off and now it was time to wait for the mail. However, I got bad news and passport people needed more information from me, you can imagine I was a nervous wreck thinking I wasn't going to get my passport in time, luckily, I did get the passport!
A few weeks before my surgery, my best friend backed out on me and she opted not do the surgery! I had already made my mind up that I was going through with the surgery and was going with or without her. My family and friends were a little hesitant for me to go to Juarez, Mexico alone, but I had no choice, my daughter nor mother had a passport and there was no time for them to get one seeing how my surgery was right around the corner. I made a promise to my mom and daughter that if I felt at all uneasy about the hospital, I would turn around and come home, so that put them at a little more ease but not all the way. Then of course I start thinking of all the bad things that could happen to me while I was over there in Juarez, Mexico alone, to say the least I was a nervous wreck.
Once I arrived at the El Paso airport on March 11, 2013 I found my driver and to my surprise there was another lady in there with me who was having the same procedure. So my nerves relaxed a little bit, but then of course I thought to myself what if she is just a decoy and they are tricking me. She and I exchanged phone numbers and said we would keep in contact with one another during our weight loss journey (we are facebook friends so that is how we keep in contact).
My experience at the hospital was exceptional! The hospital was so clean and everyone was so friendly, after getting us all checked and all the paperwork done, it was now time to go to our rooms. The nerves were for sure rattled by this point, I kept telling myself I am actually going to go through with this surgery! I finally got my cell phone to work(I wasn't able to send out text messages or receive phone calls even though I had the international plan). Talked with my mom and told her everything was great and hopefully I would be going back for surgery soon and sure enough it wasn't 15 minutes later they came to get me. While they had me in the pre-op room, the anesthesiologist came in and explained what she would be doing as well as Dr. Jose Rodriguez and his team came in to talk to me. I was of course crying and they all assured me everything would be ok! One of the Dr.'s asked me if I was alone and I told him yes and he asked if there was someone to call after my surgery to let them know everything was ok. I said please call my mother and let her know. That is about all of that I remember! Sure enough after my surgery, the Dr.'s called my mom to let her know the surgery was a SUCCESS and that I was doing GREAT!
I slept all that night and into the next day, I was a big baby and didn't want to get up and walk the next day simply because I was in pain and I felt nauseous when I would sit up. The nurses came in like clock work checking on me, my vitals and checking my incisions. I couldn't have asked for better care in a hospital, even though there was a language barrier, I didn't need anything and they made sure I had plenty to drink, covers and pain meds. I am not even going to lie, when I talked to my mother the first time after surgery, I told her that I wouldn't do this ever again! But if you were to ask me today if I would do the surgery again, I would not hesitate I would do it again!
I am now planning another trip back to Juarez, Mexico on February 7, 2014 for best friend to have the Gastric Sleeve surgery! I am excited for her to start her weight loss journey.

On December 20, 2013, my lifestyle change and begin with gastric sleeve surgery. I had the best surgical team ever. My surgery was lead by Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villarreal.
Handsomely kind these surgeons ensured I had the best surgical and recovery care possible. I felt minimal pain and they ensured that I was kept comfortable. My mother was very pleased and thankful for the fact that they explained everything before they did it.
Kudos to the staff of the Star Medica Hospital! It was the cleanest most friendliest hospital I ever visited. Muy Bueno! I am well on my way to my new lifestyle, healthier body, and new me!- Mervelle

Well, it's been 5 months, as of Valentine's Day, the 14th…and that day, I hit 100 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
I am so ecstatic, I can't stand myself!!! It was everything I had hoped, and more. My goal is to lose about another 60 lbs, which should put me into the high end of my weight range. I've never been there as an adult, so once I get close, I'll take it pound by pound.
I'm on facebook, and have posted all of my pictures, if you want to see them.

I am doing fantastic!!!!. Had no vomiting or stomach sickness after surgery ,but still have gas pains, expecially at night. My husband and I had a pleasant trip and have no complaints. Our driver Hector picked us up at 9:00. He was very friendly and told us a lot of information about areas as we passed by. He told me that I would be treated like a queen--boy was he right. When we arrived at the Hospital everyone was ready and waiting for me.Went through all the tests quickly and was rolled into the ER at 12:30. All the Doctors spoke to me before surgery and made me feel very comfortable. After surgery they came back to give me information and wish me well. I felt so important. Would go back in a heartbeat with no fears. I would gladly talk to others thinking of going to Mexico.

I am very impressed with how easy it was to schedule my surgery, and how smoothly everything has gone. The drivers were prompt and courteous. The medical staff was very knowledgeable, efficient, and showed great concern for my well being. I do not speak any spanish, and still found it relatively easy to communicate with the staff. Some do speak english very well. Dr. Rodriguez was terrific. He made sure to check in before surgery to make sure I was comfortable in my decision and had no questions. The StarMedica facilities were very nice. The private room allowed me to rest comfortably. It was a very nice room with plenty of space. I joked with friends that I was beginning to feel like I was on a vacation.
I would be happy to answer anyone's questions via email. It is kind of scary to think of doing any weight loss procedure, and then to select something out of the country adds more doubts to your decision. I am grateful for all the information and links that you gave me though, because it erased my doubts. This information was what I needed to select the best possible Dr. and hospital.

Everything went very well, the care I received from the Star Medica hospital was excellent. I really liked the beautiful, private room that I stayed in at the hospital. The entire hospital staff treated me like a queen. The driver was the best. They gave me my xrays, all of my band information and my medications before I left the hospital. My patient facillatator Deborah Mc. was wonderful, she helped me through the entire process. I could not have worked with a better person.
She explained everything to me and she was always pleasant to talk to. I never had a problem getting in contact with her; she always returned my phone calls. She is truly a special person!

My name is Don. I had the surgery done 5 weeks ago today. I had the gastric sleeve and It has completely change my life in just 5 weeks. When I started this venture I weighted 340 pounds at my weight I had to go on a liver shrinkage 2 weeks before the surgery which means you eat meat & drink sugar free drinks which means all total I have been working on this for 7 weeks. I now weight 264 pounds and feel like a new person it is just unreal how good you feel.*
Now for Juarez Mexico There is not a hospital around that will treat you the way they treat you. It is a 5 star hospital and the staff treats you like a king or queen. I would tell any body to go and let them change your life. At first I was going to try and get it done here in Monroe la. but they wanted twice as much and he had not done half of the surgeries that DR. Rodriguez has done so I'm like this makes no sense. There is no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice. also I used Mrs. Deborah to set everything up and she is the bomb.

Sorry we have not done this sooner. The before picture was taken in February 09 at Daytona Beach ….3 months before the surgery. I was weighing 300lbs and Belinda was weighing 233. The after picture was taken May 29th almost exactly one year after the surgery. I now weigh 235 and Belinda weighs 155*. A combined weight loss of 143*. Mine has all but stopped….i probably could have kept it going but I didn't want to get below 225 so the last 10 lbs will be up to me.
Belinda continues to lose just at a slower rate. We are both very pleased. I no longer am on any diabetes medication. My last A1C was in the low 6's. And I now take only one little 5mg Rampiril for my blood pressure and that is due more to work than weight...ha. We answer everyone that ask and let them all know to GO FOR IT. We truly appreciate everything you helped us with Joanne. And truly, truly appreciate Dr. Rod and Dr.Calderon for making it as affordable as he did. Please give him our sincere thanks also.

I am doing great after my surgery. I had tried every diet program that came along and never had the success that I have had with this surgery. I weighed this morning and have lost 49 1/2 pounds*. I will reach the 50 lb. mark this week :-)
I bought some new clothes a couple of days go and had to buy a size 8 and 10 in some of the pants!!! I haven't worn a size 8 in over 30 years. Before my surgery I was buying 20/22 size clothing. Initially my goal was 150 pounds, which I will easily reach and most likely surpass. I have not been able to get in as much exercise as I was a few weeks ago, so the weight loss has slowed down a bit. I no longer take medication for high blood sugar and recent blood tests confirmed that everything is within normal ranges. The surgery was one of the best investments in my health I have ever made.
Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Aramburo and JoAnne's entire staff is terrific. I appreciate the opportunity to tell what wonderful progress I have made.

My first impression was that Dr. Jose Rodriguez was a caring man. My impression only changed in that I realized just how good he is at what he does, and that the patients come first with him. He brings his own surgical staff with him to Tijuana. His staff was awesome, all spoke good English, and were helpful and willing to answer any and all questions. There was nothing I disliked about Dr. Rod or his staff. He is very serious about the after care and the post op instructions to the patients. Would, and do recommend Dr. Rod to anyone and everyone!

Hi my name is MaryAnn and I am 23 years old. After a year of talking to Ishi with belitewight I finally made the choice to have wls.
On 7-12-10 my life became forever changed. I went to Dr. Rodriguez & his team in Juarez Mexico and got what is called Laparoscopic total gastric vertical plication (TGVP) aka Super Sleeve. In one month I am only a few pounds shy of what I lost in one year. I have so much more freedom now with my TGVP when it comes to food. I now eat what makes my body feel good and not just what even comes to mind at that moment. I eat to live, not live to eat.
The morning of my surgery I missed my flight to El Paso and you can guess how stressed I was. With in minutes of talking to Ishi and the driver all the details where worked out. It was so nice to have Ishi to take care of all the details instead of me doing it all alone. Dr. Rodriguez and his team are amazing! They came to see me almost as much as you would expect to see your nurse here in the states. And speaking of nurses the nurses were very kind and fast. I never had to wait very long after calling them. The hospital there was beautiful and honestly it was closer to a resort than a hospital.
If you are interested in getting wls there is no reason to pay over twice as much just to do it in the states. I felt more cared for than any US hospital I have ever been to! If I was to do it all over again I would go to Mexico no questions about it!

I am glad my journey with BeLiteWeight has been such a great experience. I have went from three blood pressure medications, two cholesterol medications to no medications. I had to add one blood pressure medication about three months later. This was due to a high stress job. I love finding things to wear that I have not been able to wear before. I know feel I can reach my goal without ever gaining the weight back. I feel better, look better and am excited knowing I will be at my goal weight someday.
My daughter is almost at her goal weight and she looks wonderful.. To experience this life changing procedure, of the gastric sleeve, together has made the transformation that much more exciting. I can't express how much of a difference it has already made in my life. I wish this surgery would have been available when I was a teen, I would have had it then. I hope this is helpful to those who want to feel better and to look thinner.

I haven't had the chance to tell you yet… but THANK YOU!. I had the lap band in December 2007. It will be three years in a couple of months. I have easily and happily lost over 150 lbs. I am only 50 lbs from my goal weight.* I would never have been able to loose the weight without the lap band. Thank you for the connections, the organization, the discounted price, and my life back. Next-we need discount/Mexico connections for plastic surgery for a total body lift! A+, I have referred to anyone that will listen.

Well it has been 6 months since I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery done. I am down 66 lbs.* I have spent the last 25 years of my life trying to figure out howI got so heavy and how to get it off. I have tried all the programs and pills with little to no luck at any significant weight loss. If I did loose a few pounds I put it right back on. I am 51 years old and never had a weight issue as a child it was after having my kids that the weight started adding up.
I tried to get my insurance to approve the procedure but had no luck with that. My health was declining and I finally decided that I needed to do something or I was going to be in really bad shape soon. I already had arthritis and sleep apnea. I read about Belite on the Internet and requested a quote. The price quoted was a small fraction compared to what they quoted me here in Ohio. I knew that this would probably be my only option.
They assigned me a patient facilitator that walked me through the whole process. It wasn't very long before I was on my way. I was met at the airport just as they said. From there it was on to the hospital. The driver took us straight to the hospital and hand delivered us to the correct people. After completing the check in process the pre-surgical testing began. It was only a couple of hours until the actual surgery. I had no trouble at all. They were very helpful and everything was done just as they had explained. They even sent me home with a surgical report and X-rays of my new sleeve.
The hospital was pretty new and very clean. It is just like the pictures you see on line. I want to loose a total of 100 lbs so I still have 33 more to go but I am sure I can do it. I have had no problems since the procedure was done on 4-14-2010. I can't tell you how much better I feel and everyone of course says that I look a lot better. It has been fun going out and purchasing new clothes because the others are way too big...I feel like a new woman and my husband says I look like a new woman as well.
I would recommend anyone considering weight loss surgery to contact BeLiteWeight and just go for it. Life is too short to spend it being unhappy or unhealthy, especially if you can do something to make it better.

I was an eating machine, a food-addict, the "big guy" at work; I lived to eat. I knew I needed to make a change and I could not do it alone. This is when I found BeliteWeight. My patient facilitator and I discussed and decided that the gastric sleeve procedure was the perfect fit for me.
Going into this surgery in Mexico, I never knew the outcome would ever lead me to meeting such a great group of people, now whom I call friends. When you arrive, you are picked up by Alberto, who was an absolute blast. He loved his country and showed me how wonderful it truly is. The doctors are there for you through it all, when I needed something, the nurses and doctors would be at my hospital bed in less than 30 seconds. It's just the personalization that makes everything perfect. In one month I went from a size 60 to a 52* and I keep loosing. It makes me really ask myself, what did I do to get to this way and was it ever worth it.
The most uncomfortable part of this journey was the post-operation diet, but I have a lot more energy now. I would be taking at least 4-6 Advil every day for pain, ever since the day of my surgery, I have not take any pain pills. If you're miserable and uncomfortable, this surgery and the people at BeliteWeight takes it away and gives your confidence back, I am paying it forward.

I just wanted to give you an update on me. I am very happy. I am at 145lbs and I am getting in shape for a lifetime goal, to complete a triathlon.* It will happen on 09/09/2012 God permitting. I am under close physician care because it looks like I catched an anemia, but I have the green light now to continue with my training. I just wanted to say: Thank you for making this possible for me.
Best Regards,
