#1 Simple Carbs & Sugar
Sugar comes in all shapes and sizes but they all have one thing in common: they are bad for you! Sweet drinks, candy, ice cream, and cookies are all made with high fructose or another one of sugars deceiving forms!
#2 Trans Fat / Partially (Or fully) Hydrogenated Oils
Hydrogenated (and partially hydrogenated) oils are preservative substances that should be liquid at room temperature but through some sort of chemical process are made to be solid. These oils are one of the frightening reasons for why clogged arteries and heart disease is so common in the US.
#4 BHA & BHT
BHA and BHT are classified by the Department of Health and Human Services as carcinogens because of their known link with organ failure and an array of other problems. Think twice before eating those potato chips!
#5 Sodium Nitrate
#6 Sodium Benzoate / Benzoid Acid
Sodium Benzoate and Benzoid Acid are both naturally occuring but when mixed and stored with Vitamin C they form a chemical called Benzene which is known to cause a number of cancers. Look out for these in your Vitamin C juices!
#7 Potassium Bromate
Found in white breads like Wonderbread, Potassium Bromate is banned in almost every other 'industrialized' country because of its known link with a number of different cancers. You really shouldn't put it in your body!
