Cravings for sweets can come at any time. Usually the symptom is a simple drop in blood glucose levels, however if the sudden craving for a sweet snack appears too frequently it could be a sign of sugar addiction leading to serious metabolic diseases. Today we’re going to share with you some clever tricks how to naturally reduce your craving for sweet snacks.
One of the most important rules is to drink water REGULARLY. Make sure to have the right amount of it in your diet. Water will help your body regulate the hunger and satisfaction center in the brain.
Learn to use healthy substitutes. Once in a while, a piece of dark chocolate or dried figs instead of a milkshake or fruit cake will certainly not hurt you. Consumed once in a while, natural delights will satisfy your sweet desire. In addition. Those snacks are not full of empty calories. A square of dark chocolate is rich in magnesium, potassium and iron.
Wash your teeth… that’s right you read this right 😉 It really helps. However crazy it sounds, a fresh mouth makes us not want to destroy the feeling, so … we do not eat as much with fresh breath.
Carefully read the labels of the products you buy. Sugar is also added in various hidden forms. Sucrose, fructose, sodium glutamate are also enemies of our healthy diet. Also, be careful with xylitol, mannitol and erythritol, which are healthy sugar substitutes. We advise you to reach for pure natural monk fruit – considered to be the healthiest alternative.
Start using a simple trick – if you want a sweet cookie or a candy bar, first reach for water and a vegetable like carrots and celery.
The scent of vanilla also suppresses the feeling of hunger. If you don’t like its taste in food, buy vanilla oil and spray it over in your home.
If you are a coffee fan, we have good news for you. A cup of coffee will surely help you when you suddenly feel like something sweet.
Do not keep sweets within vision. Keep them hidden or take them out of the house at all.
Finally: Don’t give up. It may seem impossible to cut sugar, but as time goes on your taste buds will adapt to this new eating style.
Hello everybody, the spring season has just begun! 🙂 Many off you can already see the first signs of this exciting season. So much light, freshness and happiness is in the air… As such, it only makes sense that we talk about positive things. So today we would like to show you another update letter from one of our newer patients who says he feels really great! Charles writes that he feels himself again. Isn’t that great? But this is not the end of good news. Charles also writes that by losing weight, his dose of medication is now minimal and his glucose levels are safe. Here is Charles letter:
100 pounds less! I wish I had not waited so long to have my surgery. I spent so much time in pain and misery because of my worries about going to Mexico. I feel so much better and more like myself again. Please let everyone there know how much I appreciate everything. And a special “thank you” to you!! I’m so glad you helped me decide to go with the bypass verses the sleeve. I’m now off of most of my medications and I’m on lower doses of the ones I still need. Also, I was taking 60 units of insulin twice a day along with meal-time insulin which I’m now completely off of with glucose levels back to normal!! I guess if there is a drawback it’s that I now need to buy new clothes because the ones I have are literally falling off/down. LOL. I’m totally good with that!!! Thanks again to you and everyone else at BeLiteWeight!!! Cheers!
Perhaps also many of you are still faced with the decision about weight loss surgery. Six months ago Charles was exactly in the same position. Today he is grateful that he took this brave step and decide to have surgery. If you still have doubts or more questions, don’t wait for tomorrow, call us now 🙂 Maybe this small moment will change your life.

The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach – although this is an old saying no one can deny the importance of food. This Valentine’s Day couples are more happy to share a romantic dinner for the other half and indulge in sweet desserts.
It is not without reason that this holiday of lovers is famous for delicacies made of…. chocolate. Thanks to the cocoa (so the more, the better!) chocolate is an aphrodisiac that is rich in stimulating phenylethylamine (which quickly releases endorphins) and theobromine, or caffeine, that increases activity and strengthen.
Probably a lot of you think, what, if I am on a diet? Don’t worry, we have some great Valentine snack suggestions for you to prepare that will be perfect for your next romantic evening. These are all tasty AND healthy!
Don’t forget that savory & healthy food is one of the best gifts that you can give to your loved one. These ideas are delicious and full of aphrodisiacs that will stimulate your evening. 😊
So let’s start the compositions of potential plates
Chocolate is one of the best Valentine’s aphrodisiacs. And yes ! You can still be on the diet and use this wonderful ingredient to make your valentine dessert. You just have to make sure to use real chocolate without too much sugar. One effective idea for sweets are chocolate covered strawberries. You only need a half cup of melted dark chocolate with two tablespoons of coconut oil and some sweetener of your choice. One of our favorites for example is made from monk fruit and of course the strawberries are sweet too. Now dip them in the melted chocolate and voilà the dessert is ready 🙂
A bowl of natural forest fruit like berries will also be perfect. They taste great and are simply very healthy! Rich in vitamins, minerals, macronutrients and micronutrients fruits are always the best.
Slices of ham and meats with cheese are also great because they contain a lot of protein which are useful for rebuilding and strengthening.
Mixed cheese platter. Parmesan Gorgonzola, and Ricotta are the the most recommended. Parmesan lowers blood pressure and also is low in calories. Gorgonzola is characterized by low cholesterol levels. Ricotta thanks to light texture and relatively high moisture content, is one of the least caloric cheeses.
Of course, don’t let your Valentine’s plate be without your favorite nuts. They are so full of benefits that we do not need to stress their health properties.
As all of you can see there are plenty of ideas out there and we hope you will use some these options for your Valentines day.

Holidays are always associated with excellent food and great desserts that are very caloric. This year BeLiteWeight wants to be like Santa Claus and magically change your fears about dieting by giving you a healthy recipe for Celebration cupcakes! They not only look fabulous but also taste really delicious. These cupcakes will delight your guests and leave you guilt free. This dessert is an actually healthy alternative to a real special treat.
Simply having a messy apartment can make it much more difficult to keep to a diet. Disorder itself causes stress, which can easily lead to worse food choices and more snacking throughout the day. Our food choices are more likely to receive lower-quality meals when we are anxious.
But order in the apartment is not enough. To make our diet more effective it is also very important to maintain a clean mind with internal peace and harmony. Soul order is a very important element in the weight loss process.
Emotions often drive overeating and the end result is often the same. The happiness of eating is temporary and the emotions return. Afterwards there is the additional burden of guilt for setting stepping back from the intended weight-loss goal. This often starts the unhealthy cycle all over again with emotions triggering overeating.
So when negative emotions threaten to trigger emotional eating, here are some steps you can use to control your cravings.
YOU Time. Try to relax
For example, listen to your favorite music or do some yoga and stretching
Have a hunger reality check.
Is your hunger physical or emotional? If you ate just a few hours ago and don’t have a rumbling stomach, you’re probably not hungry. Give the craving time to pass.
You’re more likely to give in to emotional eating if you lack a good supportive network. Lean on family and friends or consider joining a social group.
Instead of snacking when you’re not hungry, distract yourself and substitute a healthier behavior. Take a walk, watch a movie, play with your dog, read etc.
Hopefully some of you are now surprised to understand how keeping order can help us with our weight goals. Now after reading this article we hope it will be easier for you to motivate yourself, starting from the inside 🙂
If before you left on vacation you were carefully keeping to your diet and taking care of what you eat, do not stop thinking about these things! The worst thing you can do during your vacation is to think “it’s vacation, I can afford – X.” Yes, you can, but why? Are you sure, that is it worth it? It will definitely take you a few steps back in achieving your goal!
Fortunately, BeLiteWeight is here to be like a lifeguard from Baywatch cautioning you to keep to your diet during this summer. So then you can still properly enjoy your awaited holiday without regret.
First of all, summer is the best time to lose weight. We eat less at high temperatures. We feel more like lighter foods. We forget about thick sauces and instead prefer fish, fresh fruits, and vegetables, that taste best in summer and are also at their cheapest.
However, on the other hand, summer is also a time of vacations and outdoor events with friends and family. During these times we allow ourselves more freedom and are more easily tempted. After all, it’s time to relax, not stress yourself with a diet. Is there a way to not gain weight during vacation, and at the same time try new flavors? Is there a way to enjoy the food at parties and not miss the effects of the diet? Yes there is! Remember, you can always choose healthy options and still enjoy your vacation! Follow a few simple rules and you won’t miss out on anything.
Before leaving, it is worth getting a few products that will not spoil, be easy to pack, and a better alternative to products that can be easily found. One of our top recommendations are simply nuts and beef jerky. But find your favorite health conscious food-bar and keep them around. The day before departure, it is also worth it to prepare the meals that you will eat the next day. If the plan is to go somewhere for longer than a few days it is important to plan your diet more carefully.
Moderation is the key!
You don’t have to give up all delicacies to be healthy. It is enough to be moderate. Summer is often spent near the water at tourist destinations like beaches, lakes, and rivers. Remember to order healthy fresh fish but maybe skip the fries and chips and eat some vegetables on the side.
Sweet moments …
A small scoop of ice cream or fruit sorbet during an active day will not hurt you much either. As long as it is not excessive and you minimize the toppings it might help keep you sane! But remember to do your best to choose more valuable alternatives – like a fruit salad with yogurt. Of course, one holiday dessert will not ruin your slimming treatment, but try to give up processed foods and choose desserts with natural ingredients.
Water and Salt
During the hot weather, moisture and minerals escape our bodies in the form of sweat extremely quickly. This is why a tangy pickle can sound so tempting in the summer. It is very important to replenish these levels quickly. Drink water and eat salty foods!
What about alcohol?
Alcohol is not friendly for any diet, so it would be best to not drink at all. However, it is understandable that this part can be especially difficult during summertime with special time spent with friends and family. Alcohol itself is caloric and, unfortunately, it stimulates the appetite and makes you hungrier too.
A good strategy is to give up the high calorie drinks altogether. Beer and juice cocktail drinks are especially bad for diets and better alternatives include red wine, and clear drinks like vodka tonics.
Nothing is less friendly for our health than inactivity. Fortunately, trips do not limit us when it comes to physical activity. For each special food you enjoy you can take an additional walk and enjoy the scenery.
Don’t get crazy but remember your goals!
It’s a vacation after all, not a survival camp, so you can afford a few sins. But remember the principles of healthy eating, allowing yourself to deviate from the diet from time to time, but overall still remembering your goals.
Only a few days into your vacation the weight you fought so hard to lose beforehand can quickly return. A few pleasures are certainly not worth it! So just remember: self-control and moderation.

”Even the furthest journey begins with the first step”
Did you know that if you or someone you know has Medicare part A and B that weight loss surgery could be a covered benefit?
The BeLiteWeight team knows this quote well and has once again helped a client through the hoops and requirements to have Medicare cover her initial weight loss surgery and as well as her revision surgery. Raeann agreed to share her results with all of you.
Raeann’s surgical weight loss ”journey” started quite early, she had Lap Band in 2007 but it had to be taken out in 2017. However, the story of our patient gets even more amazing. During her initial recovery from her Band removal surgery Raeann fell ill with unrelated thyroid issues but as she says, she never gave up! Eventually she recovered and had her revision to the Gastric Sleeve in July 2018! Today she proudly tells us about her achievements:
My starting weight with the band was 315 and got down to 100 pounds (I’m only 5’1″). I lost a total of 215 pounds with my band. In the year after my band had to be removed I regained up to 206 and then had my revision and I got down to 139.
Photos of her journey:
Our patient proves that it is worth it to be brave starting a new road, even when the destination seems very distant. If you or a loved one is suffering from obesity then you can also take this journey with us too! “If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet”
The weather is getting warmer and that means avocado season is
beginning to bloom! Instead of turning to tacos our team at BeLiteWeight would
like to offer this tasty keto-friendly recipe for flavor bursting guacamole.
Just Four Ingredients!
2 Ripe Avocados
½ Cup of Chunky Salsa (Without The Chip!)
¼ TSP Red Pepper Sauce
1 Thinly Sliced Cucumber
