I Feel Like Myself Again – Charles 4.5 Months After RNY Bypass


Hello everybody, the spring season has just begun! 🙂 Many off you can already see the first signs of this exciting season. So much light, freshness and happiness is in the air… As such, it only makes sense that we talk about positive things. So today we would like to show you another update letter from one of our newer patients who says he feels really great! Charles writes that he feels himself again. Isn’t that great? But this is not the end of good news. Charles also writes that by losing weight, his dose of medication is now minimal and his glucose levels are safe. Here is Charles letter:

100 pounds less! I wish I had not waited so long to have my surgery. I spent so much time in pain and misery because of my worries about going to Mexico. Easy Low Carb Buns- Perfect For Your Breakfast


Buns are with us in our diet invariably. As children a handful of rolls could satisfy our hunger. We eat sandwiches for lunch, rolls for breakfast, and every burger has a bun. It is a convenient and tasty product. However, it is generally quite caloric.

Today we would like to show you that you don’t have to give up on tasty buns at all. We have a great & healthy recipe for your favorite roll. Also, the best thing is that 25 minutes will be totally enough and you can enjoy taste this really delicious and wholesome buns right now.

The recipe prepares about 4 small or 3 bigger buns

Wet Ingredients :

  • 1 egg (important to rest at room temperature)
  • 3 egg whites, also at room temperature
  • ¼ cup hot water

Dry Ingredients :

  • 1/4 cup of almond flour
  • 1/4 cup of coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
    seeds for topping (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, I recommend the – ‘Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend’ from Trader Joes.

Steps :

  • Preheat the oven to 356 Fahrenheit.
  • First mix all your dry ingredients. Then put all ingredients (dry and wet) into a food processor and mix until smooth. Don’t over-mix the dough though 😉
  • Let mixture sit for a while ( 5 min)
  • Separate the dough into 3 or 4 equal portions and form buns.
  • Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with seeds of choice and bake for around 25 minutes.

Valentine Dining


The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach – although this is an old saying no one can deny the importance of food. This Valentine’s Day couples are more happy to share a romantic dinner for the other half and indulge in sweet desserts.

It is not without reason that this holiday of lovers is famous for delicacies made of…. chocolate. Thanks to the cocoa (so the more, the better!) chocolate is an aphrodisiac that is rich in stimulating phenylethylamine (which quickly releases endorphins) and theobromine, or caffeine, that increases activity and strengthen.

Probably a lot of you think, what, if I am on a diet? Don’t worry, we have some great Valentine snack suggestions for you to prepare that will be perfect for your next romantic evening. These are all tasty AND healthy!

Don’t forget that savory & healthy food is one of the best gifts that you can give to your loved one. These ideas are delicious and full of aphrodisiacs that will stimulate your evening. 😊

So let’s start the compositions of potential plates

  • Chocolate is one of the best Valentine’s aphrodisiacs. And yes ! You can still be on the diet and use this wonderful ingredient to make your valentine dessert. You just have to make sure to use real chocolate without too much sugar. One effective idea for sweets are chocolate covered strawberries. You only need a half cup of melted dark chocolate with two tablespoons of coconut oil and some sweetener of your choice. One of our favorites for example is made from monk fruit and of course the strawberries are sweet too. Now dip them in the melted chocolate and voilà the dessert is ready 🙂
  • A bowl of natural forest fruit like berries will also be perfect. They taste great and are simply very healthy! Rich in vitamins, minerals, macronutrients and micronutrients fruits are always the best.
  • Slices of ham and meats with cheese are also great because they contain a lot of protein which are useful for rebuilding and strengthening.
  • Mixed cheese platter. Parmesan Gorgonzola, and Ricotta are the the most recommended. Parmesan lowers blood pressure and also is low in calories. Gorgonzola is characterized by low cholesterol levels. Ricotta thanks to light texture and relatively high moisture content, is one of the least caloric cheeses.
  • Of course, don’t let your Valentine’s plate be without your favorite nuts. They are so full of benefits that we do not need to stress their health properties.

Fish Tacos With Heavenly Cream Sauce


We love the opportunity to not only discover local cultures and meet new people, but to try new cuisines as well. Getting to know many new flavors and smells is one of the most common reasons why so many love traveling. Unfortunately this year it is much more difficult, but do’t worry! Today BeLite Kitchen has invited you on a trip to… Mexico!

I promise that your stomach will beat with the rhythm of Mexican maracas after we show you how quickly and easily you can prepare delicious and fresh Fish Tacos.

Lets start with the sauce, because this is the real hero of this recipe 😉

– Half cup of chopped green onions

– Half  cup of chopped fresh cilantro

– 2 Teaspoons grated lime zest

– 2 Teaspoons of lime juice

– 2 cloves of garlic

– Pinch of salt

– 6 tablespoons of mayonnaise

– 6 tablespoons of cream

Tacos :

2 Pounds fresh fish (could be cot fish, halibut or red snapper)

2 Teaspoons cumin powder

2 teaspoons couliander powder

Teaspoon/half teaspoon ground smoked paprika

Salt and red pepper flakes to taste

Low-carbohydrate tortilla – in our video, I recommend which on is best and easily you will find in the store.

Young spinach or selected lettuce

Red cabbage

Our few easy steps to make this tasty tacos :

1.To prepare sause, combine all ingredients in a small bowl set aside.

2. Cut the fish into small cubes

3. Put all marinade spices into one bowl/plate, mix.

4.Add the mix of spices to the fish and stir. Then marinate fish for five minutes.

5.Fry the fillet pieces in a grilled skillet with a little bit of avocado oil or olive oil.

6.Toast tortillas, put fish inside with sauce, cabbage, and spinach.

Sugar Free Celebration Cupcake


Holidays are always associated with excellent food and great desserts that are very caloric. This year BeLiteWeight wants to be like Santa Claus and magically change your fears about dieting by giving you a healthy recipe for Celebration cupcakes! They not only look fabulous but also taste really delicious. These cupcakes will delight your guests and leave you guilt free. This dessert is an actually healthy alternative to a real special treat.

Ingredients (Makes about 5 Cupcakes)

3 Eggs

3 Tbsp powdered low calorie sweetener e.g Erythritol

1 Tbsp butter

1/3 Cup almond flour

1/5 Tbsp n baking powder

Low carb chocolate chips (on top)

Avocado mousse (trust us!! you will be pleasently surprised😉)

1 Large avocado

2 or 3 Tbsp cream cheese

1 Tsp peanut butter

1 Tsp lime peel

Half a lime juice

1/3 Cup monk fruit sugar

Cupcake Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 360 F

2. Mix eggs with erythitol

3. Combine the rest of the ingredients (except the chocolate chips)

4. Using a spatula, place the mix into the muffin sheet or cupcake liner

5. Put in the oven for 10/15 minutes (check with finger to see if it is hard enough)

Avocado Mousse Preparation

1. Mix all listed Avocado Mousse Ingredients

2. Place the mousse in a piping bag (or use plastic bag and cut a small hole at the end)

4. Spread the mousse over the top of the muffins

5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top!

Simply having a messy apartment can make it much more difficult to keep to a diet. Disorder itself causes stress, which can easily lead to worse food choices and more snacking throughout the day. Our food choices are more likely to receive lower-quality meals when we are anxious.

Emotions often drive overeating and the end result is often the same. The happiness of eating is temporary and the emotions return. Afterwards there is the additional burden of guilt for setting stepping back from the intended weight-loss goal. This often starts the unhealthy cycle all over again with emotions triggering overeating.

So when negative emotions threaten to trigger emotional eating, here are some steps you can use to control your cravings.

YOU Time. Try to relax

For example, listen to your favorite music or do some yoga and stretching

Have a hunger reality check.

Is your hunger physical or emotional? If you ate just a few hours ago and don’t have a rumbling stomach, you’re probably not hungry. Give the craving time to pass.

Get support.

You’re more likely to give in to emotional eating if you lack a good supportive network. Lean on family and friends or consider joining a social group.

Fight boredom. 

Instead of snacking when you’re not hungry, distract yourself and substitute a healthier behavior. Take a walk, watch a movie, play with your dog, read etc.

There are many tricks used by restaurants, supermarkets and advertising specialists to manipulate us that we can turn to our advantage. Here are some ways to help you cut down your portions and help keep you losing weight.

1 Out of sight, out of mind.

Hide sweet and salty snacks somwhere that is harder for you to reach. Also, do not leave kitchenware for quick cooking, such as a toaster or cutting board, on the kitchen counter. Keeping cookies within reach and within your sight will increase snacking and will not allow you to focus on preparing your healthy dinner.

2. Smaller plate is a key

Smaller plates can cut your servings by almost a third. A tall and narrow glass will do the same it will allow you to drink for example less wine Thanks to this, you will reduce the amount of calories consumed.

3. Cook and eat at home!

You will eat fewer calories and snacks throughout the day if you prepare your meals at home. Going to restaurants frequently or eating out quickly can increase the amount of calories you eat. Your brain relaxes in a restaurant and it is very easy to stop controlling what you decide to put on your plate.

4. Avoid the TV while eating

It has long been known that while watching TV we automatically tend to eat more. The more exciting a program you turn on, the greater the risk that you will eat a really large portion. If you decide to eat in front of the TV, measur your consumption and try to use healthy snacks!

5. Don’t be afraid of your bathroom scale

6. Take care of your mood
