Healthy Chicken Pesto Salad


Delicious and healthy grilled chicken pesto salad.

Let’s be honest, salads can get boring after a while with the same ingredients and the same dressings, blah blah and etc. Why eat the same ol’ thing over and over? It’s time to spruce up your bowl and wake up your mouth with this flavor-bursting, healthy Chicken Pesto Salad recipe, so give it a try! Your taste buds will thank you!!!

Pesto Ingredients:

1 cup Fresh Basil

1 cup Red Wine Vinegar

1/3 cup Olive Oil

1 tsp Liquid (or Powdered) Sweetener

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Dried Oregano

¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper

3 Garlic Cloves (peeled)

Salad Ingredients:

2 cups Favorite Greens

½ cup Grilled Chicken (cut in cubes or strips)

¼ cup Red Onion (cut into thin strips)

½ cup Bell Pepper (cut into thin strips)

¼ cup Parmesan Cheese

¼ cup Toasted Nuts (your preference)

Optional Ingredients:

Cherry Tomatoes

Cucumber (sliced or quartered)

Croutons

Directions:

Combine pesto dressing ingredients in a blender and blend well until the pesto is creamy.

Prepare your salad in a large bowl with any of the ingredients of your liking.

Pour the pesto dressing over salad and toss well.

**Note** This recipe makes enough for one large salad (or 2 smaller salads if you’ve had weight loss surgery), so adjust the recipe according to your needs.

The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach – although this is an old saying no one can deny the importance of food. This Valentine’s Day couples are more happy to share a romantic dinner for the other half and indulge in sweet desserts.

It is not without reason that this holiday of lovers is famous for delicacies made of…. chocolate. Thanks to the cocoa (so the more, the better!) chocolate is an aphrodisiac that is rich in stimulating phenylethylamine (which quickly releases endorphins) and theobromine, or caffeine, that increases activity and strengthen.

Probably a lot of you think, what, if I am on a diet? Don’t worry, we have some great Valentine snack suggestions for you to prepare that will be perfect for your next romantic evening. These are all tasty AND healthy!

So let’s start the compositions of potential plates

  • Chocolate is one of the best Valentine’s aphrodisiacs. And yes ! You can still be on the diet and use this wonderful ingredient to make your valentine dessert. You just have to make sure to use real chocolate without too much sugar. One effective idea for sweets are chocolate covered strawberries. You only need a half cup of melted dark chocolate with two tablespoons of coconut oil and some sweetener of your choice. One of our favorites for example is made from monk fruit and of course the strawberries are sweet too. Now dip them in the melted chocolate and voilà the dessert is ready 🙂
  • A bowl of natural forest fruit like berries will also be perfect. They taste great and are simply very healthy! Rich in vitamins, minerals, macronutrients and micronutrients fruits are always the best.
  • Slices of ham and meats with cheese are also great because they contain a lot of protein which are useful for rebuilding and strengthening.
  • Mixed cheese platter. Parmesan Gorgonzola, and Ricotta are the the most recommended. Parmesan lowers blood pressure and also is low in calories. Gorgonzola is characterized by low cholesterol levels. Ricotta thanks to light texture and relatively high moisture content, is one of the least caloric cheeses.
  • Of course, don’t let your Valentine’s plate be without your favorite nuts. They are so full of benefits that we do not need to stress their health properties.

Parmesan-Avocado Chips Perfect For A Party


Why wait to start the healthy new year on January 1? Let’s start today on New Year’s Eve! Here is an idea for… chips! 😀 Which all of us love so much!

Our chips are healthy, simple and quick to make so they are also perfect as a last minute snack before the party! The main ingredient is… avocado… once again… but it is one of our favorite vegetables Avocados give you a wide range of possibilities to prepare for all kinds of wonderful culinary delights. Last time you had something sweet with the Christmas muffins so today lets try something salty like Parmesan avocado chips.  Sounds great right?

& Let’s start before the final stroke of midnight 😉

Ingredients: (for about 12 chips)

1 large avocado

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Half cup Parmesan cheese

Half teaspoon garlic powder

Half teaspoon onion powder

Half teaspoon Italian herb

Salt, pepper

You can also try adding oregano or your other favorite spices

Preparation :

Preheat oven to 360 degrees

Blend all ingredients in a blender

Use silicone baking mat (you can use baking paper)

Apply a tablespoon of mix and spread it lightly  and use your hand to shape the chips

Bake all for about 20 minutes until crispy (Check every few minutes to see if your crisps are thin. It may take shorter or longer depending on how thick).

After baking let them cool down for at least 5 to 10 minutes.

Now that these healthy and deliciuos chips are ready for consumption we hope they will be a pleasant addition to the end of 2020.

Sugar Free Celebration Cupcake


Holidays are always associated with excellent food and great desserts that are very caloric. This year BeLiteWeight wants to be like Santa Claus and magically change your fears about dieting by giving you a healthy recipe for Celebration cupcakes! They not only look fabulous but also taste really delicious. These cupcakes will delight your guests and leave you guilt free. This dessert is an actually healthy alternative to a real special treat.

Ingredients (Makes about 5 Cupcakes)

3 Eggs

3 Tbsp powdered low calorie sweetener e.g Erythritol

1 Tbsp butter

1/3 Cup almond flour

1/5 Tbsp n baking powder

Low carb chocolate chips (on top)

Avocado mousse (trust us!! you will be pleasently surprised😉)

1 Large avocado

2 or 3 Tbsp cream cheese

1 Tsp peanut butter

1 Tsp lime peel

Half a lime juice

1/3 Cup monk fruit sugar

Cupcake Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 360 F

2. Mix eggs with erythitol

3. Combine the rest of the ingredients (except the chocolate chips)

4. Using a spatula, place the mix into the muffin sheet or cupcake liner

5. Put in the oven for 10/15 minutes (check with finger to see if it is hard enough)

Avocado Mousse Preparation

1. Mix all listed Avocado Mousse Ingredients

2. Place the mousse in a piping bag (or use plastic bag and cut a small hole at the end)

4. Spread the mousse over the top of the muffins

5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top!

Although it’s gray weather outside lately, our ”BeLite Sky” is quite the opposite! We hope that our recipe for colorful orange pumpkin muffins will evoke a beautiful GOLDEN autumn in your homes.  Especially, since this tasty vegetable has so many advantages.

Remember, always choose pumpkins with an intense orange color – they are the most valuable. These muffins also contain vitamin A, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and magnesium. If you are following a particularly low-calorie diet, the good news for you is they are only 28 calories per 100g.

Ingredients (recipe for 6 pieces)

1 3/4 Cup Raw pumpkin (Hokkaido variety works best)
3 eggs
1/3 Cup Coconut flakes
1/3 Cup Coconut flour
1 1/4 Tablespoon Cocoa
1oz Chopped Dark Chocolate
Half Teaspoon of spices (mincemeat)
Flat teaspoon of cinnamon
Half teaspoon of baking powder

Preparation:

1. Peel the pumpkin, cut into small cubes, and mash in a blender.

2. Add the eggs and keep mixing until smooth

3. Put the rest of the ingredients and mix until combined.

4. Toss in the coconut flakes and pour into muffin molds. Be sure to sprinkle some on top for decoration.

5. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. It may seem that the top of the muffins is not baked, but after cooling in the refrigerator they will solidify and the melted chocolate will solidify too.

Aromatic Indian Chicken Wings (Low Carb) | BeLite Kitchen


Today we’re moving to colorful India! If the smell of fresh cumin and the vivid hue of turmeric puts a smile on your face then this is definitely the recipe for you. Indian chicken wings are a tasty and nutritious meal that you can prepare quickly and easily in your kitchen. This recipe not only will taste great but you can also enjoy them without feeling guilty! This recipe is dedicated especially for our patients, but something tells us, that the smell from the oven will tempt the rest of your household too. Be prepared to cook some extra for whomever else is around!

Aromatic Indian Chicken Wings (Low Carb)

Ingredients :

1 tbsp baking powder

2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black peper

2 tsp turmeric powder

1 or more tbsp paprika powder

1/2 tbsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp ginger powder

1/4 tbsp chili powder (less if you don’t like spicy food)

1 tbsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1 tbsp coriander powder

3 Ibs chicken wings

Avocado or Your Favorite Vegetable Oil

Preparation :

1 – Preheat the oven to 225 ° F

2 – Make sure your chicken wings are dry (you can use a paper towel for this), this helps the meat absorb the spices better.

3 – Pour the baking powder, salt, and pepper into a gallon zip lock bag.

4 – Put the chicken wings inside, close the bag, and shake it a few times.

5 – Add the rest of the spices, close it again, and shake it more.

6 – Prepare the baking tray, spray the bottom with the oil , put the chicken wings on top, and also spray them with some oil too.

7 – Put the wings in the oven for 30 minutes at 225F and then increase the temperature to 425F and let them cook for another 15 minutes. You can spray them again with more oil if they are looking dry. This will help the chicken wings be really juicy!
