Even if you're on a diet, you can still enjoy things such as sweets and even certain alcoholic drinks. While most full-flavored cocktails are going to mess up your diet, there are alternatives that are considered "skinny" cocktails because they are so low in calories. With summer right around the corner I have prepared a list of cocktails that are diet friendly, full or flavor and easy to make.

  1. Blueberry & Lime Margarita. This one is rich in anti-oxidants and under 200 calories. All the recipe calls for is tequila, fresh lime juice and agave nectar. You can use as much or as little lime juice as you’d like.
  1. Fresh Island Limeade. A mixture of lime and other delectable fresh fruity flavors and a splash of Vodka is all you need. You can enjoy a pitcher with girlfriends or have a few sips to cool down by a pool, your choice!
  1. Watermelon Gin Fizz. With chunks of fresh watermelon and a splash of gin, this is absolutely another perfect lunch time on a hot summer day. It is light, very low in calories, and won't fill you up with bad sugars.
  1. Ginger & Blueberry Bellini. These types of drinks are renowned for their low calories, which is why this one has been added to the list. Not to mention that ginger is a natural dieting aide.
  1. Grapefruit, Pomegranate & Campari Cocktail. Looking for something a bit more metropolitan tonight? Then you need to try this sweet and tart cocktail that has a bit of herb bitters added in for a diet friendly taste.
  1. Famous Strawberry & Coconut Daiquiri. This is a staple for any list of low calorie cocktails. With the sweet mixture of strawberry and coconut and rum, this drink is refreshing and will take care of that sweet craving.
  1. The Salty Chihuahua. Not a fan of margaritas? Then this drink might pique your interest with its mixture of grapefruit juice, orange liqueur, and tequila. Like a Chihuahua, it might not look like much but it does have a bark!
  1. The Pomegranate Cosmos. Another staple for your repertoire! Fresh pomegranate juice, vodka and lime juice this will leave you sweetly satisfied and looking for another sip.
  1. Bloody Mary. Bloody Marys’ are fairly healthy as is. Vodka, vitamin packed tomatoes juice, a celery stick and a couple pimento olives is all you need. Add some shrimp and tabasco hot sauce for extra flavor!
  1. Classic Mojito. Another refreshing drink perfect for a hot day, this one includes mint, muddled lime, fresh lime juice, rum, club soda, and honey all under 200 calories.
