Here's a bit about our weight loss journey, this is the best thing both Eduardo and I could have done. So blessed and happy that we were able to do it together. We both had the gastric sleeve on November 9, 2015 by Dr. Rod and Dr. Elmo at Star Medica. Both doctors, the staff and the hospital were great! 

We are super excited to say that we are right about 9 months from having surgery and we are down a total of  222 lbs between the both of us. Eduardo is down 135 lbs and I am down 87 lbs, we are so happy with our results so far! After trying different ways to lose weight for years and nothing working, we realized this was our only option left. Again I can't express how grateful I am that we decided to do this together at a Team!!

We are very thankful for BeLite Weight, because of them we are a lot healthier now than before. Even though we still more to go and at times our weight loss slows down we knew that sooner or later we will be where we want to be at.

Today (July 22, 2016) marks one year since my gastric sleeve surgery in Tijuana.  Having any type of surgery is a pretty big deal and this was no different.  However, after researching through the BeLiteWeight website, talking with Sylvia from the company, and researching on my own there was no doubt that undergoing either bypass or sleeve surgery was going to be the best decision for me.  Like so many people, I am a professional weight loser.  I have lost hundreds, but also gained back hundreds over the years.  Although there have been some bumps in the road, I still believe it was the best decision for me.  I continue my journey in finding what foods work best for me, the amount of sugar that is ok before I start to feel nauseous but what someone with chronic low blood sugar needs, and how to get all the water in each day that my body needs combined with living in the middle of the desert.  I have invested in lots of very small food storage containers that I can divide meals into and freeze, and I suggest this to anyone as not to waste meals and help with portion control.  This has proved so helpful and easy for meals on the go.  I know that my life has changed forever.  I still am working on portion control when I’m not eating one of my frozen meals, still working on getting to a gym, but still loving shopping in the juniors section!  I am so happy to report that as of today I have gone from 280lbs to 146lbs/size 26 to a size 8.  Thank you BeLiteWeight!        Tonia R

We went on vacation to Mexico last week and I wore a bikini on the beach and had nothing hanging over anywhere! My journey has come from here to there and back again, about 3 times and then some.  When I was 40 I was down to 124#, I mean really? REALLY?  But, I’m 65 now and never thought I’d be back to a svelte, well certainly not 124#, but my weight is down and never will it dare rise again!

In 2009 I was the victim of a Black Hawk helicopter accident.  I was standing on the ground, the force of the wind from the copter rotors pushed me down and threw me around then picked me up and dropped me 11 feet!  Surprisingly I didn’t break any bones but had multiple contusions, back and hip pain, shoulder and neck pain.  I was then diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and GERD and was put on drug therapy, neurotoxin injections, back therapy, physical therapy, pain clinic therapy and sleep therapy.  What a painful mess!  Due to meds and inactivity I escalated to 200#.  My BMI was 31.6 and I couldn’t find anywhere in the US that would consider me for bariatric surgery.  I researched several out-of-country facilities and found Belite Weight to be the perfect fit.
My surgery for Vertical Sleeve Gastectomy was scheduled for April 14, 2015.  I was scared and hoped I was doing the right thing.  At 9pm, on April 13th the EKG tech asked me if I was nervous, I replied yes, and he said, “You are in good hands.”  He gave me the confidence I needed.  The next morning I was prepped was the first into surgery. I was back into my room by 2:45 but by 5:00 it was obvious something was wrong.  I could not move without passing out, my blood pressure and oxygen levels were very low, and at 8:40pm I was rushed back into surgery.  Drs. Rodriguez and Aramburo found a large hematoma at the upper part of my stomach. I awoke in ICU at 10:30 and truly felt great and everything has been uphill since.

A year later I no longer need my C-Pap, my incontinence is completely gone, I’ve been taken off 2 meds, my blood pressure and my cholesterol  are perfect.  I’m still dealing with chronic pain, however with the weight off the pain is now manageable and I am told I am as healthy as a 40 year old! I have lost 60#!!!!  Would I do it again, absolutely!  Do I love my size 8, you betcha!

I weighed 352 on April 29, 2015. I contacted BeLite and had my surgery May 18, 2015. I chose Juarez for my surgery. We flew and were met and driven across the border to the hospital. My surgery was done that afternoon. I spent 2 nights in the hospital then back to the airport and home. Every part of my experience exceeded my expectations. The hospital, the doctors and nurses, the room, everything. Today is May 3, 2016 and I weigh 227, down 125 pounds in less than a year! The best thing I ever did. I spent $7500 for everything including airfare for me and my wife. I highly recommend this to anyone considering this operation. BeLite was great for me.

MY LIFE HAS CHANGED FOREVER!!!!

I cannot begin to tell all of you how my Gastric Bypass Revision by Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villareal & Dr. Elmo Aramburo has turned my life around.

I have been heavy all my life.  In 1984, when By-pass surgery was new on the market, I decided that I would no longer struggle with my weight.  I had my stomach stapled – Yes – that’s how they did it back then….with surgical staples.  I went from 270 to 125 in about a year.  I stayed thin for about 5 years, had 2 boys and then the weight started to come back on!  Well… eventually some of those staples came out.  My original stomach pouch became usable again and a lot of scar tissue built up.  Slowly but surely, I got up to 300lbs!!  That’s when I contacted BeliteWeight and am I ever glad I did.  

My experience in Juarez was AMAZING.  It was the best care I have ever received in a hospital facility – MUCH better than in the U.S.  I’ve had NO complications at all.  This has been a change of lifestyle but it has been a breeze!

I had my surgery on Sept. 29, 2015.  Today is April 29, 2016.  It has been 7 months and I have lost 125lbs.  I am down to 175lbs.  I’ve gone from a size 26 to a 14.  From a 4X to a L/XL.  I have never felt better in my life I can garden and do all the things I love with ease.  

Now I know I will see my grandchildren grow up and hopefully see some great-grandchildren!  I love how I look but more importantly….I LOVE HOW I FEEL!

I can not encourage anyone considering this enough...  it has been the best life saving thing I could ever of done for myself.

I went to Juarez by myself... for me, that is the one and only thing I would not do again...  it was lonely as the language barrier was huge.  very few nursing staff spoke English. the Surgeon did, and was very kind and compassionate.  I had no medical issues afterwards and healed quickly and with VERY minimal pain... more discomfort versus pain. Learning to eat the proper amounts took a couple weeks... like one to many bites and I had trouble keeping foods down, but that was easily learned....   I would do this over in a heart beat, just for me, I would bring someone with me...

5 Month Letter:

My weight has been a constant struggle over the past 10 years. It was a day to day battle. I tried every product, diet plan, and  exercise program available and nothing ever seemed to work for me. I would lose 5 to 10 lbs and then I would gain it right back, plus some. I was constantly frustrated and depressed about my appearance and the way it made me feel inside.
