Tracey 2.5 Years Later: 34W to a Size 4

Tracey T Weight Loss Surgery Before and After

It is truly special for the team at BeLiteWeight to hear from a patient that has found the long term success that they were hoping to achieve. 2 and a half years ago Tracy embarked on her journey with the Gastric Sleeve and chose our surgical team in Juarez Mexico led by Dr. Rodriguez and his excellent group of surgeons. She looks like a whole new person and we could not be more proud to share her letter!

Good afternoon!-
I wanted to share my update with everyone.  On the day of my surgery i weighed in at 430 pounds.  Two and a half years after Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villareal did his magic i now weigh 115 pounds.  I’ve dropped from a 34W to a size 4. People who haven’t seen me in years are amazed.  I’m really amazed that I don’t have more loose skin than i do.  (I recommend to anyone who has had this surgery to drink plenty of water whole you’re losing weight to help with the skin elasticity. ).  Thank you so much to BeLiteWeight and Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villareal for saving my life!!

What an impressive job you have done Tracy!! With all of the hard work and progress you have made there is no limit to what is coming next!

Fellow Of The American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S)

We are thrilled to announce that all four of our Juarez surgical team members are now Fellows of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villarreal became a Fellow back in 2016 and just recently, Dr. Elmo Aramburo, Dr. Rafael Vizcarra and Dr. Daniel Urbina have received their credentials as well.  This is a huge accomplishment and great honor for them, and we are so proud to work with such a distinguished group of surgeons.

Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villarreal, F.A.C.S
Dr. Elmo Aramburo, F.A.C.S
Dr. Daniel Urbina, F.A.C.S
Dr. Rafael Vizcarra, F.A.C.S

The letters F.A.C.S. (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon’s name are an indication to the patient that the surgeon has passed a thorough evaluation of both professional competence and ethical fitness. Fellows are board-certified surgeons or, in unusual circumstances, have met other standards comparable to board certification. A Fellow has committed herself (himself) unequivocally to place the welfare of her (his) patients above any other consideration; to avoid division of fees with other physicians; to make her (his) fees commensurate with the services she (he) renders; and to refrain from performing unjustified operations.

The link above describes what it is to be a Fellow. (F.A.C.S.) and the section to read is #2.

Dr. Elmo Aramburo, Dr. Daniel Urbina, Dr. Rafael Vizcarra
Fellow Of The American College Of Surgeons Ceremony October 2019

It’s important to distinguish the difference between an “Associate” and a “Fellow”. Some surgeons pay a fee to become an “Associate” member, however, you cannot buy a Fellowship, it must be earned. The College admits to its Fellowship only those surgeons whose professional activity is devoted to surgical practice and who agree without compromise to practice by its professional and ethical standards.

The F.A.C.S. credential exists to foster the professional growth and development of surgeons, to promote high standards and best practices in surgical care, and to establish and maintain the patients’ confidence in the ability and integrity of their surgeon.

You can check ANY surgeons F.A.C.S standing here (be sure to choose the country of the surgeon on the left side before searching):  CLICK HERE

Bypass > Sleeve For Type 2 Diabetes

weight loss surgery before after vertical sleeve bypass diabetes

Our BeLiteWeight team is no stranger to the scene of surgical weight loss options. After assisting more than ten thousand customers over the past fifteen years our patients stories have given us insight in to what options are better for certain people. Even if you or a loved one is not excessively overweight but is suffering from Type 2 Diabetes than bariatric surgery may help alleviate many symptoms and put the disease in to withdrawal. This has been the case for many of our patients!

However, certain procedures are more effective than others at combating Type 2 Diabetes. The two most common bariatric procedures are the Gastric Bypass and the Vertical Sleeve, but the Bypass has been shown to be exceptionally effective for those with Diabetes. This is likely to do with the the effects of the procedure on the stomaches absorption processes.

While BeLiteWeight has been vocal about this for many years, another study published at the end of last month concluded that the Gastric Bypass was the preferred option for Diabetes care. Nevertheless, both offer unique benefits and your entire medical history and current condition have to be fully considered before choosing.

The Perfect Place: Gloria’s Sleeve Experience in Mexico

The BeLiteWeight team recently heard back from Gloria who is a patient that had the Gastric Sleeve surgery with Dr. Rodriguez in the first week of the year. She is already down nearly 70 pounds and judging from her letter seems to be very excited about her progress. As she should be! Read on for yourself:

“Down 66 lbs so far, since my surgery on January 7 of this year. Never thought I could be down to this weight again, and am still losing it. Today is June 2, 2019. I decided to do the gastric sleeve after learning about other peoples\’ experiences. Because no matter what I did, I just could not lose weight on my own, and the pounds were piling up onto eachother, year by year. I did a lot of research. After all, this is a life changing decision, and you put your life in the hands of whom you hope they know what they are doing. I finally found the perfect place! If you aren’t sure, please consider BeLiteWeight. Their customer service from beginning to end is spot on. The hospital in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, is just like any American hospital, with the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. You almost feel like you are at a resort!!! The medical staff, from the person with whom you register upon arrival, to the nurses and doctors, are kind, responsive, and warm professionals. The follow up is awesome. And if you are still unsure, may my \”before\” and \”after\” photos be a testimony of what you can achieve. And I do have to admit that I don\’t exercise, other than walk about a mile, 2 or 3 times a week, just to feel that I have made at least this tiny change in my life.My only regret is not doing this sooner. But it all boils down to \”Better health, feeling great, looking amazing and being happy\”. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I am always happy to share my experience.. Thank you to all the doctors, personnel, JoAnne , and all involved in my journey to an improved, great life!!!”

Our team over at BeLiteWeight is so happy for you Gloria! Keep up the hard work and enjoy the new outfits!

Kristy’s Story: 3 Months, A World of Difference

Kristy has always been an avid horse rider. She shared the difference in her life, just three months after having Gastric Sleeve Surgery, with Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villarreal and Dr. Elmo Aramburo.

Kristy’s Story: 3 Months, A World of Difference (Before Photo) - See her AFTER Photo WOW! "I was 230 pounds and before my surgery it was hard for me to pull myself up onto my horse. I always looked for a pickup to help me up into the saddle. I never wanted to get off my horse unless I as done riding for the day."

Kristy had her surgery the middle of December, 2012. She wrote to us and sent her "after" photo just a few weeks ago.

Kristy’s Story: 3 Months, A World of Difference (After Photo) - See her BEFORE photo! Wow! "This picture was taken on February 19th. I was at 180 pounds then. Now this morning (March 5th) I was at 172 pounds.

I'm now 12 pounds away from my goal weight!!!  I am able to now get right onto my horse with NO problem at all!!! I'm so happy I did this surgery… Thank you BeLiteWeight!!! My life has forever changed!!"

A side by side photo comparison of Kristy before and after weight loss surgery. Doesn't she look great? Kristy’s Weight Loss Success Story: 3 Months, A World of Difference | BeLiteWeight We wanted to share Kristy's triumph because it is a wonderful reminder that having successful weight loss surgery isn't about the numbers on a scale or a BMI chart somewhere. For most patients it's about regaining the simple pleasures in their life and health that mean the most to them.  Congratulations Kristy! Thank you for sharing with us!
