Courage to Change My Life: Jeff’s 4 Year Update

weight loss surgery before after vsg gastiric sleeve

Earlier this month we received a touching letter from one of our blinding success patients Jeff who has really turned his life around since we first chatted with him on the phone about 4 years ago. Read for yourself!

I just wanted to drop a quick note to the amazing folks are and give a quick update. It’s been four years since I found the courage to pick-up the phone and change my life.

When I decided to change my life, I was miserable and unable to do so many of the things that I wanted to do. I was always tired, miserable and my life was absent of anything to keep me going – except food.

When I called, I wanted to do the surgery fast! From the time I first called there was only three weeks until I left for the Gastric Sleeve.

The experience was amazing – and the years following the surgery have also been amazing! I feel great, look great and people tell me that I look so much younger now than I did then.

I can’t tell you how greatful that I am to everyone at Beliteweight for the amazing guidance that I received and for the support leading up to the surgery and the post surgical support that was fantastic from the minute I got home until I felt like I had it under control.

The process was worth it, the cost was unbeatable and the way my life was changed cannot be put into words.

The BeLiteWeight team is so proud of you Jeff! Keep up the hard work and you can achieve all of your goals and inspirations!

Summer Weight Loss Recipe: Spicy Peach Glazed Grilled Chicken

Perfect for those humid summer nights or even during a sunny summer lunch, this spicy peach glazed grilled chicken is sure to tantalize all of the taste buds with its eclectic flavors. But not only is it a yummy meal, it is also very healthy for both people looking to maintain a light and fresh lifestyle or even if they are on a diet but still want tasty meals every day.

What makes this grilled chicken so much better for you than other alternatives? There are several key ingredients that make the spicy peach glazed grilled chicken even better for you, some of them include:

  • Olive oil is great for your skin, hair, as well as for your dieting. This is because olive oil has the good kind of fatty acids known as monounsaturated fatty acids or MUFAs.
  • Grilled chicken that is cleaned of its skin and isn't cooked in bad fats can be very healthy for you and gives you a nice, lean protein that is absolutely perfect for a healthy lifestyle.
  • Even peaches have health benefits and can fit into nearly any diet. They have enough sweetness that can be a replacement for bad sugars that can mess up an entire diet or healthy eating lifestyle.

Here's the all of the ingredients you will need for this spicy peach glazed grilled chicken meal:

  • Two cups of preserved peach jam
  • One tablespoon of chopped garlic
  • Three tablespoons of olive oil
  • Two tablespoons of soy sauce>
  • One tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • One small jalapeno
  • Salt and finely ground pepper
  • Eight skinned chicken breasts
  • Four whole peaches

  1. Combine the jam, garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, jalapeno, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix.
  2. Heat up the grill.
  3. Spread olive oil on the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the chicken on each side for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Brush both sides of the chicken with the peach glaze and cook for 4-5 more minutes. (NOTE: Reserve ½ cup of the peach glaze)
  6. Cut the peaches in half and place them on the grill—cut side down—for 2 minutes. Flip them over, brush with the reserved peach glaze, and grill for 3-4 more minutes, until they are soft.
