Hi JoAnne things have been good. I've went from 379 to 220. I kinda haven't lost anymore weight then that. My life is on the go day in and day out. I need to get back on track. I do believe it was the best decision I made.

The photos are 1 year apart. 305lbs to 210lbs. I'm able to play with my kids, I don't have to shop in the plus size section anymore. The first time I ordered a large sweatshirt online I just knew it wasn't going to fit me but it fits perfectly. I also meant to add I've been able to get off one of my antidepressants that I've been taking for years! Best decision I've ever made!

Hi JoAnne
I can't believe it's been 2 years already!!!
So I started at 185(ish)
And in the first 6 months I lost 35 pounds, and then lost another 40 pounds after that.
So I was at 110 for a bit and worked on actually putting ON a few pounds. I could hardly believe I had to TRY to gain some weight. It was awesome.
I have evened out at 115 and it's absolutely perfect. I'm able to go jogging almost daily, which I love. And I'm getting some muscle tone back as well.
The whole experience has been wonderful and I would do it again in a heartbeat!!
Thank you for everything!!

"Good morning. Just wanted to tell you that I hit a MAJOR milestone yesterday at 155 lbs.....300 lbs lost from my heaviest weight. That's huge. And I couldn't figure out how to post it on the website directly"
Hi JoAnne, thanks for checking on me. It's been a long 6 months between the mental and physical healing, but I think I'm doing OK. I was hoping to have dropped a few more lbs by now however I had an original goal weight at the 6 month mark of 175 and this past week i have been between 174 and 176, so I will take that as a win even though my overall goal of 160 seems unlikely. I'm going to send a few pics as well so you can see the progress. I consider myself a surgery success at this point. Happy Holidays

Hi JoAnne. I don't think I am losing anymore. Just maintaining I think. I try not to focus on my weight number too much. I still can only eat a portion of what I used to and end up feeling very full sometimes. I still try not to get to that point but sometimes around the holidays it's difficult lol. I'm really not where I would like to be weight wise but have lost enough that I no longer have health issues. I feel like I'm at a good weight now but vanity wise I'd prefer to lose more but it's just a mental thing really. I'm happy I had the surgery done overall. Thanks for checking in on me. Here is a photo of me with my 2 daughters. I'm in the white flowered shirt.

Hello, yes it has been 2 years since my operation.
My health has been exceptional. I just had a bout with a kidney stone but that is my only concern. The oncologist mentioned that people with this procedure are prone to stones, is that a true statement? I've had infections before but no stones.
I'm staying around 190 at present which is only 5 lbs more than my lowest.
If you remember 4 of my family had this same procedure and we are all doing fine.
Thank you!

Hi JoAnne. I've lost a total of 125 pounds. I'm down from a size 24 to a 14. I feel great! Yes, my address and email are still the same.
(One month later): Here's the pics I promised. I'm now down to a size 12 pants and large top.
Prior to my surgery I wore a 3-4XL top or 22-24 and a 3XL bottom or 24. I now weigh 164 pounds.
When I started this journey I was 64 years old and at 289 pounds. I feel sooo much better and have absolutely no problems. I don't have any of the medical issues I had when I weighed 289. I have so much more energy and am able to do so much more.
I'm very glad I had the surgery. It has made a big difference in my life. The change in my diet with y'all's guidance has helped me tremendously!
I can't thank you enough for all your assistance.

I would ultimately love to reach my goal weight of 135 but at this point I don't think that is going to happen. I would love the information on the reboot and you absolutely can post the pics. Thank you!

I am WONDERFUL!!!!!!! I'm down to 231lbs (about 87 lbs lost) and I'm in an 18/20.
The only problem I have is that I'm still burping when I eat. I know it's because of the displacement of the air in my stomach. I'll live with it happily. My incisions are healed and they look good.
My neighbor took a photo the other day and she said that I look better in jeans that fit me and not the baggy ones I've been hiding behind. I know it's a psychological thing that I have to see myself as I really am and not the fat me. I'll send you a before and a now picture.
I'm so happy that my husband and I agreed that it was the best thing for me!

Everything else has been good and I'm so appreciative of everyone's help in getting my life back and losing weight.
I hope with continued efforts and strong determination I can reach 225lbs which was about my high school weight of 212 lbs.
We needed these surgeries so bad so we could be here for our kids and each other. Thank you to everyone for giving our lives back.
Joseph: This is pre surgery and 2 weeks ago photo. Down 117 lbs.

I am well. I have been able to stay within the 185-195lbs.
I wish I could get down to 160 but it just hasn't been possible for me.
