\n\tThis is Jamie’s Seven Year anniversary of her lap band to gastric bypass revision surgery. She successfully kept the weight off for all of these years. \n\tDisclaimer: I work for BeLiteWeight but I'm doing a testimonial because I had surgery, lost weight and was pleased with the care I received at the hospital etc.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tI had revision of my prior Lap Band surgery to a Mini Gastric Bypass on January 29, 2009. I had lost close to 90 pounds with my band*<\/strong> but after some other health issues (not band related) I found myself all the way back up to within 5 pounds of where I started originally back in 2003.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tI couldn't live heavy any longer <\/strong>and found that I was missing so many vital things in my life like enjoying activities with my children. I wasn't looking forward to another surgery (I'm a surgery whimp) but I didn't see many other options<\/strong> since I was a total failure at dieting (obviously).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMy revision surgery went well, I won't go into the fact that I think that all the surgeons we have are awesome<\/strong> but I wanted to tell you my experience with losing the weight.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAt my one year surgery anniversary I wrote this for my blog:<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore Weight Loss Surgery I Weighed 92.5 Pounds More (Now its 109)<\/strong> and…\n<\/p>\n

\n\t~Couldn't walk up a flight of stairs <\/strong>without being winded
\n\t~Couldn't bend over to tie my shoes<\/strong> without strategic propping involved
\n\t~Couldn't imagine that life would be any different<\/strong> than it was already was\n<\/p>\n

\n\tToday I… Weigh Less Than I Did When I Was 14 Years Old and…\n<\/p>\n

\n\t~Can walk long distances<\/strong> without trouble
\n\t~Can bend over to pick something up<\/strong> without feeling like I might fall over
\n\t~Can see great promise in future things<\/strong> to come my way and already have a life that is totally different from before\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNow at my seven year anniversary I am STILL keeping the weight off <\/strong>and having weight loss surgery is STILL one of the very best decisions I have ever made in my life.<\/strong> I was a relatively "heathy fat person" so, other than having no energy, being heavy robbed me of more of my "life experiences"<\/strong> than anything else. Seven years later I am proud to say my revision surgery gave me those life experiences back<\/strong>. In the last few years I've gone on trips to Hawaii, Carribean, California, and around Mexico too.<\/strong> I can't believe how much easier it is to travel, work, and enjoy life.<\/strong> Each and every day I am so incredibly thankful<\/strong> to have had weight loss surgery.\n<\/p>\n
