Dietary fiber is the only type of “harmless” carbohydrate and is mostly non-starchy carbohydrate that the human body cannot digest. Interestingly, in the past fiber was considered unnecessary and only litters our digestive system and impairing the absorption of various substances. As science and knowledge progressed there began many reports about the beneficial effects of fiber. It was supposed to protect against diabetes, heart attacks and some said it cured cancer. But now we know that it is what are the benefits and what we can leave for fairy tales.
A few facts:
Fiber, being a non-digestible filler, causes a faster
feeling of fullness (full stomach). People who eat a lot of fiber, yes, they
are actually leaner and healthier, BUT not because fiber has a beneficial
effect on their bodies, but because they eat less (and provide the body with
less energy and digestible carbohydrates).
Certain types of fiber feed on the bacteria that live in our
colon. These bacteria convert cellulose and other fiber carbohydrates into
certain vitamins and short-chain fatty acids that provide energy for the cells
in the lining of the gut and reduce inflammation in the body. Another side Fiber
can have a negative impact on our health, because it reduces the absorption of
many substances, both harmful and beneficial (some vitamins and useful

Lets start with the sauce, because this is the real hero of this recipe 😉
– Half cup
of chopped green onions
– Half cup of chopped fresh cilantro
– 2 Teaspoons
grated lime zest
– 2 Teaspoons
of lime juice
– 2 cloves
– Pinch of
tablespoons of mayonnaise
tablespoons of cream
2 Pounds fresh fish (could be cot fish, halibut or red snapper)
2 Teaspoons cumin powder
2 teaspoons couliander
teaspoon ground smoked paprika
Salt and red
pepper flakes to taste
tortilla – in our video, I recommend which on is best and easily you will find in
spinach or selected lettuce
Our few easy steps to make this tasty tacos :
1.To prepare sause, combine all ingredients in a small bowl set
2. Cut the fish into small cubes
3. Put all marinade spices into one bowl/plate, mix.
4.Add the mix of spices to the fish and stir. Then marinate fish for five minutes.
5.Fry the fillet pieces in a grilled skillet with a little bit of avocado oil or olive oil.
6.Toast tortillas, put fish inside with sauce, cabbage, and spinach.

Let’s meet Cofi. Thanks to the Gastric Sleeve surgery and determination she not only got rid of her health problems but is now a… mom! Yes a mom! What wonderful news. Cofi struggled with many health difficulties due to being overweight. During one of her visits, she heard that perhaps she would never be able to have children. It must have been very difficult. Despite everything, Cofi did not break down and took fate into her own hands. Today her daughter is growing day by day and reminds Cofi that everything is possible. Id struggle all my life with my weight, trying every diet there was out there and never being successful ultimately becoming diabetic and having high blood pressure. I was told that I would never be able to have kids because of my weight. After having this surgery all of that has changed. I have reversed my diabetes. I no longer have high blood pressure, and now I am a mom to my beautiful baby girl. This surgery saved my life and gave me what I’ve always wanted. To be a mother.

There has been a long debate about if eggs are healthy or not. In the 1970s, many nutritionists and doctors were loudly against eggs because of the cholesterol in the yolk. Scientists were looking for a link between the amount of eggs eaten and elevated blood cholesterol levels. However today, eggs are considered one of the best nutrient sources.
New research on eggs suggest that they are particularly important for combating diabetes. A study performed at The University of Eastern Finland and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studied the diets of men aged 42 to 60. Scientists followed them for 20 years and tracked their egg eating habits. The study concluded that people who ate an average of 4 eggs per week had a 37% lower risk of developing type 2 Diabetes compared to people that only ate 1 egg per week
The study also found that egg eaters had lower blood sugar levels on average. This is not the end of the positive side of eggs either. They are a source of protein that is easily absorbed by the body. This model protein contains all amino acids, including the essential ones that the body cannot produce on its own.
Other studies have also shown that people who eat eggs for breakfast (instead of carb-based breakfasts like cereals, muffins, or bagels), have reduced appetite levels for the remainder of the day. By providing less cravings for carbs, eggs are a great tool for body weight maintenance!
Today we’re moving to colorful India! If the smell of fresh cumin and the vivid hue of turmeric puts a smile on your face then this is definitely the recipe for you. Indian chicken wings are a tasty and nutritious meal that you can prepare quickly and easily in your kitchen. This recipe not only will taste great but you can also enjoy them without feeling guilty! This recipe is dedicated especially for our patients, but something tells us, that the smell from the oven will tempt the rest of your household too. Be prepared to cook some extra for whomever else is around!
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black peper
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 or more tbsp paprika powder
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1/4 tbsp chili powder (less if you don’t like spicy food)
1 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
3 Ibs chicken wings
Avocado or Your Favorite Vegetable Oil
1 – Preheat the oven to 225 ° F
2 – Make sure your chicken wings are dry (you can use a paper towel for this), this helps the meat absorb the spices better.
3 – Pour the baking powder, salt, and pepper into a gallon zip lock bag.
4 – Put the chicken wings inside, close the bag, and shake it a few times.
5 – Add the rest of the spices, close it again, and shake it more.
6 – Prepare the baking tray, spray the bottom with the oil , put the chicken wings on top, and also spray them with some oil too.
7 – Put the wings in the oven for 30 minutes at 225F and then increase the temperature to 425F and let them cook for another 15 minutes. You can spray them again with more oil if they are looking dry. This will help the chicken wings be really juicy!

Our new summer recipe will conquer your heart but not your weight, so don’t worry, and get ready for culinary delight that you will surely love.
First of all, the process of making ice cream can seem very difficult but it is not. You only need five ingredients and maybe a little patience because the freezing process still takes its sweet time… the sun is beating down on us so lets go ahead!
Here’s what we need :
1 1/4 cups of Heavy Cream
1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1/2 Teaspoon of Mint Extract
3 Egg Yolks
1/4 Cup of Erythritol (or equivalent of your favorite non-caloric sweetener)
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
Heat the heavy cream and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat until simmering, remove from the heat and allow to cool to around to room temperature.
Whisk the egg yolks with the erythritol until the yolks are pale yellow, add the cocoa and mix well.
Whisk half a cup of the warm cream mixture into the eggs, then add the remaining cream and whisk well. It is very important to make sure the cream is only warm and not hot. If the cream is too hot it can cook the eggs and make the ice cream chunky!
Next pour the mix back into the saucepan and place over low heat while stirring continuously to thicken. Make sure to keep the heat low, you don’t want to scramble the eggs. This step can take up to 20 minutes. The custard will be ready when the mixture coats the back of a spoon.
Pour the custard mixture it into a serving container and place in the fridge to help it cool down before freezing. Stir this mixture every ten minutes. Depending on the size of your container it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to completely chill.
If you have an ice cream machine pour the cold custard inside and let the machine work its magic. When the ice cream is the proper consistency of soft-serve pour it into a container and place it in the freezer. You will have delicious ice cream very soon! If you don’t have a machine you can just keep freezing the chilled custard and it will still be ice cream! But be sure to stir it every fifteen minutes as it freezes for best enjoyment.
